Default A50 GF FBL

Hello,

I have a FBL RJX50 head on one of my Aeolus A50 GF. Using a BeastX works fine so far, even though I still prefer to use my flybarred birds (eq. with CSM Cyclocks).

I recently bought the genuine FBL rotorhead from AHF for my electric E50, parts of the FBL-head made a very good impression, the only mod chosen being the KBDD-dampers. Haven't flown yet the AHF FBL-head, but will do its job ..

Best Regards,
Oliver

P.S: Hobby-wing has them at a very fair price

Would an Align FBL head fit the Aeolus? That might be another option too..

yeah , it would..

but having ALIGN plastered all over a decent heli would be a bit sad , I'd think ...

Default AHF FBL rotorhead

Hello,

Let me just give you an upgrade on the AHF-FBL rotorhead. The quality of the head is good, the only dislike are the linkages from the swashplate to the main blade grips..

- the first ones supplied are commonly used 2mm rods .. (w/ 2.2mm thread)

- the ones added later as an upgrade are way stiffer w/ rod diameter about 2.5mm ..

The only problem w/ this stiffer linkages is, that:

1.) the thread is still 2.2mm to use the standard rod and compared to the unthreaded part of the linkage w/ 3mm this means a questionable zone with high tensions and prone to failures (where the heck do Chinese developers learn about mechanical design ?)

2.) this *enhanced linkages* are to large, not much, but some 2-3mm on each side to get your Zero-degree alignement.

To solve the matter, either:

a.) buy ALIGN's HN7100AT linkages - but rods will be 5mm instead of 4.75mm - need to buy rods w/ 4.75mm whole size (Mikado/ Vario etc.)

b.) following a buddy, the FBL-linkages from the rave ENV90 does the job

If you found a different solution, please feel free to share it.

Best Regards,
Oliver
