Umbrella gear info... 22 tooth to 18 tooth driven gear.
Since I have spares I haven't had to try the Align gears in the rear tail box. I'm pretty sure the Align gears have a 1:1 ratio at the tail rotor. Most heli designs control the tail speed at the transmission by changing spur gear and/or auto rotation gear.

Someone needs to count the teeth and report back...

OMG i'm a tool! I got fooled by Loctite 406 whilst trying to adhere the flanged bearings into the frames and it sucked a big drop straight into theose flanged bearings like soLder into a well heated wire!! DAMN IT!

Considering how hard parts are to come across (even though this is just a bearing and i should be able to find one somewhere... somehow), this may spell the end to the build getting done in my last week of time off work! *sign/cry* lol

EDIT: Crisis averted, for now! Got the bearing running mostly free so that should do it for the time being.

Glad to hear! Shouldn't be too much of problem unless your running some really smooth servos. Doubt you'll notice.

I've got a NIB kit with 2 sets of black gears up for sale in the FS forums. Bought it back in 2011 and never got around to building it.

Are you looking for the regular main gear or the Delrin CNC main gear?

Good to know. Do you also use Align torque tubes? I would assume you could cut those down as well.

I need black main gear or white but not the old spare part.I have mx700 motor and it is too powerful.
Yesterday i tried Fusion with shorter trex 700 boom.It fits on the front main gear box but the in the tail box does not fit all the way in . Align boom is a little larger. No problem
I had on the trex 600 black back tail gear.
In normal mode it looks ok but in idle1 (2100) i had a terrible tail swish.
As i noticed align part has 2 more teeth that original so maybe the tail blades were over speeding. When i changed with original spare part everything was smooth even 2200.
Outrage torque tube suit in Align boom.I compared trex and outrage tube looks exactly the same.If you cut and drill holes you can use it for fusion (not tested)
Of course Align spare parts are not cheap but i found clone trex 700 in hobbyking site
Assault 700 DFC

I have 2 Fusion 50 6 s and 12 s and i will try to keep them on the air.
I have some spare parts but i need to stock or find spare parts to replace originalsome.
Thanks

Sorry, all I have is the original white main gears.

I have never used the Align gears for the tail. If both gears in the tail have 2 more teeth than the Outrage ones, It would not change the gear ratio. You still are maintaining a 1 to 1 ratio with the front tt gears. Maybe the gears you tried were out of round or something.

Also Align boom works fine.Lets try find spare parts for Fusion.
I have some photos on photobucket please pm me how to upload.
