DFC = automatically off the list. Please go back to a normal head that has better flexibility. Lets see a muli rpm flight of the new pro 800, say 1200/1500/1900. Not all of us want to beat a heli senseless for 4 minutes...

Hi Dino ..

I have watched that video. Jamie is just crazy and that test flight was sick!
It would be nice to see a human flying that helicopter

Also, i have already seen your videos on the TRex 800-build .. thanks for posting those.
Looking forward to the maiden flight !

Well, fwiw, I think the new Trex Pro is a different animal to the Logo800 for example.. The Logo is bigger, yes, but also not nearly as agile from what ive seen. I think in terms of performance, it would be better to compare the Logo800 to the Trex Trekker perhaps.

There is also the huge price increase if you go for the Logo800 or SaB 770 compared to the Trex and TT. If money wasn't an issue I'd have all of them

Agreed on the "beating senseless" part .. i usually do not watch more than 1-2 minutes of those flights and apart from the fact: ok, the heli can take a beating, it did not fall apart! it doesn't do much for me either.

I really liked the Logo 800 just watching Timo Wendtland fly it (search low rpm and smooth 3D on youtube for some amazing flights!).

With that said, i have a couple of DFC helis by Align and they fly great both at low and high RPM. I have read about the complaints of direct flight control on other helis (in fact i have experienced it in person in one of the other brands in the poll) and from what i have seen, i think that Align got the DFC design right. They certainly can do low RPM. Also, there are some low RPM flights for the 800 out there -- i wish Jamie would film one, if he can still fly like that

Had a few issues with the 770, bearings in the wrong way, one bearing in the head MISSING, and poor machining on the blade grips, machining marks that shouldn't really be present on a well finished item.
Don't get me wrong, I love it, it flies very well and is easy to service/maintain plus it has a unique sound to it lol.
The Raptor is as smooth as silk , but I think if your looking for a well priced heli then the 800 DFC is the cheapest of the bunch with a GREAT battery loading system that is second to none.
I love flying them ALL

I think that if you are looking for agility and "performance" along these lines then the 700 size (maybe with an 800 or 850 motor) would be a better fit, no matter if it was the Rex, Goblin or Logo.

I have a crazy 700 already and I am only looking into 800s just for their size/stability, for some easy 3D and low RPM flying .. not for the agility or competition-style performance.

As far as flying goes .. for me it does not get any better than this:
(Ok, it's a Logo but i am sure a TT or Goblin or Align could do this - right?) .. Why does Logo only have 1 vote?
Timo Wendtland - Logo 800 - low rpm smooth flying (8 min 18 sec)

A friend had the Goblin 700 and while bearings were not missing i also saw some details on the grips that shouldn't have been there (esp. for the price you pay for the kit!) and there was one part bent out the box. There were also some issues with the carbon fiber tail.
Goblin replaced the bent part - so i guess service is there! (They did not replace the boom).
With that said, i have seen more built and flown around here and they were fine ..

That's the sort of flying I like too, 3DAP.

If money, charging set etc isn't an issue, the Logo sounds like a good fit for you. The Logo is a flying bus compared to the others. (in size I mean). It really is a large Heli.

Anyway, I'll try and get a few pics of a Trex800 Pro, Logo800 and Gobler700(no770, sorry) together in the next few days.

Wow that explains everything, tested it for a week

I have Aligns,Goblins and Logos including a Logo700 and cmon you cant seriously put Align airframes in the same league as the other two.

My two Aligns 550 and 700 dfc are good helis but are very much just my trash models that i use for practice and just dont fly as good as the others, same electronics, kontronik escs,V bars.

I was looking for a new home for one of my motors and looked at the new Trex 800 as it does look a good model. Then I see DFC and straight away was disappointed and took it off my list

Agree they only seem to be concentrating on the crazy head speeds which is just not needed and I would thought there are more flyers who do not fly at those speeds than those who do??

Why do you have to run the 'crazy' HS, Jamin?
If youre worried, why not put the KDE sx head on?

It's not a critique but more of a question as I don't fly 3d, so just wondering....

I do not fly crazy headspeeds and I didnt want to buy a kit to then have to replace the whole head tbh. I do like the look of the KDE head btw

Except my speed machine of course.

Ok, I see where you are coming from.

I guess even if you need to change the head you'd be still several hundred dollars to the good compared to similar specs helis if you opted for the Trex.

Yes you will but still, got to spend extra on a part and then have another part sat here doing sod all. Might be cheaper but dont like wasting money.

Can you show me the 'huge' price increase the Goblin 770 has over the Trex as I can't see it at all??
