Default Night flying for mCPX

As most of us I have more time at night. Is there a way to use these mods on a mCPX ?

He has a new set out that has light tubes too. It looks really nice and I'm contemplating it for my new MCPX BL. But it's a little pricey...

i dont mean to high jack this thread, but i saw a mod i would like to share for the mcpx.

the blades had contact wires going down inside the main shaft on both blades, and they came out under the main shaft. they were c-ad to the mIn gear and contacted a + and - brass contact. it all ran off the main pack.
i did not get a pic , but i could make a diagram.

Slightly off topic, but have you guys seen the new Heli Max SS 100 LED that is coming out? It has leds in the main and tail blades and the entire setup runs off the main battery. I'm wondering how they do it and looking forward to seeing this! The micros are the perfect setup imo for night flying.

Just thought I would show off my little MCPX I modded this morning. Using two Parkzone Vapor batteries to power two 3 LED segment Nav Lights. Can't wait to test her out this evening and see how she does with the extra addition. 7.4v doesn't quite push these lights as hard as they desire, but they are plenty bright and the weight sacrifice doesnt seem to be to bad.

COOL! Let us know how it goes. Seems like you might need more lights for orientation but who knows... I'm interested in that new Heli Max heli that is coming w/ lights stock, but I'm unsure if it's out yet...

it has a main gear with a contact plate , wires go thru the boom and connect to the blades.

the parts from this heli may be good to use , like the blades, contacts , the tail is kinda of risky

it has the led inline on the tail motor, and the blade reacts to the led.

im still working on mine, i made my blades and i am working on a contact plate.
i plan on running all off the main pack.

Tried to fly with just the navlights on the base of the canopy, this was not a good setup at all. It did not help that I had black blades which negated seeing the disc spinning as it was inflight. Rethinking where this is going and trying to come up with another setup. I think a set of yellow or light color blades illuminated by a set of top facing LEDs would help, a set on the tail of the airframe and a light color tail rotor would also be beneficial.
Pics once I get it reworked.

i finally got my bl mcpx night setup. well the blades portion. i still need to run a tail light.

i made my setup like the one linked above. made a rotating contact ring and ran my wires

thru a hollow main shaft. im using the mainshaft at a ground , and one wire thru to the

bottom to my contact ring. it was a pain , serious pain. if i can find a really thin brass or

copper washer then i can make the setup 1000x easier. when im done i will write up a

complete build.

you can see i am having dimming issues with the blades spinning, i think the contact points

are the problem.

here are a few pics.
