There are a ton of these cheap "clone" brushless gimbals showing up everywhere. Some are good, some are not.

These are all still in the experimental phase but if you set them up correctly they all work pretty good. They are all basically built around the same motors and electronics. The motors that are big enough to move bigger cameras are just becoming available so if that is what you need you should wait a few weeks.

that looks like nice mount indeed
but i have 2 problems
first is it looks like it has no pan axis servo or brushless
2nd how can i ever mount this to my stretched 800 trex helicopter
i am currently using the 2xpt mount from ps1 which is working flawlessly for the past 3 years or so
i am gonna shoot them an email to c if they have something that can fit the ps1 mounting system
cheers

I'm pretty sure none are made by DJI. I'm in the market for one myself. Just I know nothing of the sofware, firmware, set up of electronics. Do these come with instructions or is it an equipment only thing.

Default Chinese brushless gimbals

I am on the same boat with you golden hour
I know absolutely nothing about how to setup Alex mos or the Martinez boards
But ps1 is coming out with Phoenix brushless gimbals for dslrs and even red epic
I have been dealing with Dj from ps1 for few years and he really gives excellent support for his products
I was really thinking about Chinese brushless gimbals because of there price
But off course it will be a hit or miss and reliability will be a major issue as well and that's something I can't really take
So anyways my decision is wait till Dj comes out with his Phoenix
I am in no hurry to be a beta tester for a new technology like brushless gimbals
And if any body is in a hurry he/she can always get the movi for 15k !!!!

Hey, most likely they do not come with instructions. But you can always live chat with seller and ask. Only thing is. My time is EST they are 12hrs different so I normally chat and place orders around 12-3am.

Hi,

Please let us know how this performs when you get it. Thats such a cheap price. It would be great to see if it could handle other types of similar sized point and shoot cameras.

Yeh no problem I will. The eBay link I sent you has a video in the desc, which shows how it flys and it's amazing how steady it is. Ali I saw sells more then just gopro gimbals. But dslr also. I also just purchased 10 batteries from my MQX for only $25. It will take about 2-6 weeks to get to Canada as I am in no rush and don't pay for expedited shipping.

I bought the Martinez version, it took a while to wrap my head around settings but there is lots of info on a couple rcgroups forums and it isn't that bad. Small amount of easy soldering required. I have no experience with the others. I wouldn't mind answering questions and helping with setup if some of you guys wanted to give it a try. To be honest I am interested in the PS1 Phenix as well but didn't want to wait that long. The Martinez board is only around $150 with a couple motors and then I spent a other $200 getting some pieces water jet cut. IMO it was worth it to get started with a brushless gimbal now and I was planning to buy a PS1 or similar one next spring. See how it goes.

Likely nothing wrong with it. Might not be the fit and finish you would expect from a more expensive unit and it doesn't come with a controller but should be ok for the hardware part.

I can say ive bought 100s of things from ali, some good some bad. You may find the same item ranging from lets say a battery: goes from $2-$8, if you pay for the $2 it will be the cheapest version, if you pay for the exact item but lets say you pay $4-$5, then its higher quality and is worth your money. I always chat with the seller and ask about the product and for reviews and such. Never really had any horror experiences on ali, had a couple long delays like 60-70days to get to Toronto, Canada but sometimes you cant help customs.

I resisted brushless gimbals for a long time because I thought they were voodoo and hard to set up. I bought a $300 one on ebay for my canon eos-m. It was a little light wieght for that camera (all of the wieght was carried on the motor shafts and berings and the shafts were a little too flexy. But, the results were better than any servo based system I ever used. I had a picloc 2x, and a smooth operator gimball controller and I could never get them to work right setting them up was a huge pain in the ass.

After my ebay experiment, I got the brushless conversion for the cinestar gimbal from brushlessgimbals.com and I am now 100% happy with my gimbal and footage. it's the missing link. It was really really easy to set up and tune. I am using the iflight board from BLG, running martinez. I suck atwindows, I hate windows, I have bootcamp on my mac, and it was easy. Take the plunge. it's every bit as good as you could hope.

I will note that I have a radian on my pan axis, but I have seen people have success with brushless on pan.
