The Spartan Quark or Futaba GY520 are two of the best choices out there. I'm personally running the GY520 on my 500 3D.

They're plug and play minus the basic programming and setting of the tail servo endpoints. You may also have to reverse the rudder channel in your transmitter. You can safely follow the manual included in either gyro to get it setup properly. They're pretty simple to setup, so don't let it intimidate you. Just make a quick post here if you have any questions during the simple setup phase and we'll be more than happy to assist.

Uriah is correct, I followed the manual for the spartan Quark and had no issues. There a few you-tube videos out there to that might be worth watching. One thing that I don't believe is in manual is that you have to activate programming within 15 seconds of it booting up.

The spartan quark is working very well for me. I picked mine up here on the for sale forums and got it at a good price.

+1000 for the Spartan Quark. They should be dirt cheap these days. I was a $180 tail gyro and I got mine for $79...two years ago... It was fantastic on my old Blade 450 3D.
