Default Maiden flight

Here are some photos of my two 700s at the field today.

Is awesome-tastic a word? Dunno, but that's the way it flies.

A small tip: Kontronik Jives need to be run in Mode 10 (KSA mode) with this heli...

Mode 10 is an additional mode that is programmed in conjunction with mode 4 (or 11). Similar to the LiPo mode. It is basically designed for "special applications".
Mode 4 only will activate the over-load protection and make the Jive shut down the ESC (I found that out the hard way)...
This is mentioned in the 700E manual - but who ever reads those...? :o

Are you able to adjust the gear mesh in this design? If so, how?

Hi Mark,

The motor/gear mesh is NOT adjustable. Not in the motor mount, nor in the frames.

Rear stand-off is the same as on the Nitro. Front is shorter @ 26 mm.

All you need are the rear mounts from RC Booya, at least that's the way I use them

Hi Edvard,

Where did you get that nice black and grey canopy on your 700 N. Does it fit the 700E?

Doesn't fit - hole spacing is off, and the E canopy is much narrower. And it says Nitro...
Got the airbrushing made locally.
