Really enjoyed your build man!!
Awesome job -Spence Hey, are those just the stock RC Booya canopy mounts? Did you have to do any mods on them?

Hey Panos,
Does your Rx Battery lead plug into 2 ports on the AR7200BX? And which 2 ports? Did you buy the lead or use heavy servo leads to make one? Thanks |

Yes the battery lead goes into two ports on the RX. They're labeled Aux2 and Aux3. I bought the lead from Horizon. It's a Spectrum EC3 into dual JR Y harness, $6.99* http://www.horizonhobby.com/products...ness-SPMYHEC36 I took the EC3 plug off and soldered Deans because all my RX batteries have Deans on them.* BTW, I flew the Heli yesterday at the field and all I can say it's the smoothness and speed is great. It's stable and powerful, had to bump the tail gain up a bit, but other than that the Heli was awesome.

Just a comparison between the Nitro DFC and the electric. The E has a very low profile, so low, that the tail blades always hit the grass. No tail strikes for this bird... Sorry for the pic quality, but they were taken with my iPhone4, not my usual camera, but you get the idea

Thank you. They are shoulder screws. They were made to replace the original Nitro 700 screws that were made out of butter....!

Oh yeh, I remember now. The ESC was mounted on the aft side of the heli with the motor wires coming through the hole in the right side. I didn't like the wires rubbing on the sharp side, so I wanted to rotate the motor to allow the wires to come over the top of the right side, where we could smooth the edge.
As I said, that one bolt was so tight and hard to remove, I didn't want to be responsible for buggering it up on someone else's heli, so we knocked as much of the edge off the side as we could and put a piece of fuel tubing over the opening. I don't think that bolt is ever gonna come loose.

The nitro canopy appears to be a it larger than the electric version. Is it or is that just the camera angle? If different, are they interchangable?
Thanks! D.W. |

Length wise I would say they are the same, but the Nitro is wider and roomier. The new E canopy flairs inward toward the bottom of it.

Thanks! I actually like the look of a bigger canopy on a heli - gives it more "presence" in the air. Do you think the nitro canopy would fit easily on the electric? (i.e. require anything more than possibly drilling new mounting holes?

Panos,
Can you show a detailed pic of the input pins on the AR7200BX? I am curious to see how the satellite connects to the BeastX. Thanks |

The remote RX plug's right in the middle between the servo leads. The leads all the way to the left on the picture are the battery power leads from the Spectrum plug I told you about. Hope this helps.

Thank You! My AR7200BX is on the way from GrandRC for my Rush 750.
Been thinking about getting the new 700 like yours if my nitro sells, but have you seen the 800?... Don't know. |

I always prefer direct links to swash, don't like 800, I prefer the new 700 direct link to swash

I'm keeping the Nitro, I've spend too much money and time on it and I'll never recover that.* plus I like it a lot. It's an awesome Heli. I haven't seen the 800, but IMO anything bigger than 700 is way too big. The Mikado XXtreme wasn't all that of a hit and they redesigned a 700 Plus I want to fly 3D, I don't want to hull cameras around
The new 700E DFC is a great Heli and I think Align got it together on this one.
