The first post was correct. If your heli was acting weird, your radio and/or FBL were likely setup "wrong" in the first place. They can be setup to allow for a different "order" on the beastX, but the stock setup is as I listed.

How do you have them in there now?

Not sure but Maniac's Hobby Shop in Plantation, FL is the shop I frequent and the resident hell expert set it up.
I had yanked out the RX to use on a quad only to learn it's not a standard rx but a flybarless system type thing and didn't recall the servo setup on the RX......I'm more of a multirotor guy than hell but enjoy them nonetheless.

Thanks for the help guys- much appreciated.

Just realized the manual does not show you this info Why not? Oh my they should put that info in the manual.

On my dads 300x im pretty sure it was plugged in this way
(front)Elev to elev,
(top)right aileron to Aileron
(bottom)left aileron to Aux 1
throttle/esc to Throttle

I guess the left and right really don't matter and can be changed in the unit itself.

The manual shows the control surface and gyro tests on page 9 which is even better. Those should certainly be done anytime you mess with servo connections and some would argue as often as before every flight. You are good to go regardless of what servos you run or how you have them connected if it passes these tests. The only change I would make is for testing the tail gyro. I find it more intuitive to watch the slider and make sure it moves opposite the tail when the heli is manually yawed.

Correct, all that really matters is that Beastx passes the pre-flight setup test.
