Default Alees Rush 750 setup thread

there wasnt one so i thought i'd start one, maybe it can be a "sticky".
since i dont have one yet, i have just paided for my last part and should have everything this week or next waiting for a airframe to go in.
i went with a HV set up on this heli and its my first go at a Hv set up.
here is what i went with.....

KDE 700xf-495
AR7100BX
MKS 665HV cyclic
MKS 669HV rudder
Castle ice2 120HV esc
WR hercules super BEC
radix 713mm main blades blades
radix 110mm tail blades
2 spider 5300 30c 6s packs

how does that sound ?

Looks good to me!

With your bec of choice (same one I have), you could ditch the flight battery and save some weight.. Plus, I think minimum recommended is 3s battery to the WR bec

i cant find anywhere where is says that. im in no way doubting you. just cant find a answer either way. if i were to drop the rx pack, do you wire up the BEC like you would do a CC pro bec to 6s ?

Yeah.. You will still find uses for it.. I actually was gonna go the flight battery direction..CHarley was like "nah man, just run it off the mains.. It works great and saves weight" I wired in
a deans harness so that I could plug in a flight pack for setup without having to power the motor and ESC... You could use that battery for that purpose.. Reason being to wire 12s, is obviously the bec will draw power more evenly from both 6s packs instead of more draw from just one pack..

i understand that but the reason why i asked is because, with a CC PRO BEC they say to wire it up to 6s cause it can fail if hooked up to 12s. but thats great i can ditch the flight pack and hook up the WR bec up properly to 12s. thanks alot kevin !

I have read about the Bec Pro smoking on 12s... But, I have a buddy that has one on 12s on his Fusion and no problems.. Guess its luck of the draw.. I think the WR is a much better piece!

how much flight time do you get with that? and what headspeed are you running? is there a big difference between the 693 and 713 mains as far as flight time goes?

I haven't even built it yet... I have been so busy with work and the kids, no time yet. I will get it built real soon. Actually, I dont think there will be much difference with the 713's, that is only like 2 1/2" larger disc than 693's.

I have the following parts at the moment...
Align:
700MX 510kv
DS610 cyclics
DS650 tail
CC Ice 2 120HV
Edge 713mm FBL mains
2x 6S 5000maH 45C Lipos
Gyro TBD
Will most likely go with a WR BEC

As funds allow I will change out the Align stuff, and possibly the CC. I have Torqs, a HKIII 4035 and YGE in my Fusion, so will move in that direction as well.

I am a little confused about motor choices... I have a HKIII 4035 530 in the Fusion, what motor would give a similar feeling of power in the Rush swinging 713mm, and a heavier heli???

you would have to go up to a KDE motor or a 4525 scorpion to get that kind of feel which would suck your batteries dry cause you have so much more of a disk a 4035 is plenty of motor for this bird a 4035 is actually a good bit more powerful than a 700mx.

hmmmm, maybe I'll swap the 4035 from the Fusion then and sell the 700MX to help fund the 4025 or Quantum 4125 that I had originally planned for the Fusion until I got a good deal on a new 4035...

Why not the 4530? That should get you in the same flight characteristics. I'm thinking that or the KDE. Suck them batts!!
