is there something in the pipeline?

would like e.g. to be able to run different programs when using the expansion channel
or at least shut it off on the first screen and not have to update the settings

If I understand you correctly, you are asking for the ability to enable/disable the expansion mode without having to go layers into the charger options menu. Something like press-and-hold feature on one of the 4 buttons. Correct?

If that is the case, here's what I can tell you. A very long while back there was a feature added where expansion channel is disabled if the connection on the signal wire between chargers is broken. This allows you to insert a hardware switch between the two chargers and provides a way to quickly enable or disable expansion channel mode. I took the idea a little further. Secondly, idea of using a press-and-hold button from the main screen to enable/disable expansion mode is already in the FMA firmware feature requests database. As you might expect, it will be evaluated and weighed against the other work the FMA engineers are focused on. It may or may not make it into a future update. But your interest would surely help.
