Default Let the build begin!!

Well I got my Warp 360 kit on Monday, and got a chance tonight to start the build!

There are a lot of great build threads out there so I won't bore you with details but thought I would highlight a few areas.

The first is the completeness of the kit! Wow great packaging and every part is in a bag with, or attached to a card outlining the part and step it is for. Unlike some other kits, I will not have several hundred little baggies to deal with.

I downloaded the instructions and put them on my ipad. The kit comes with the instructions on a USB key. Nice! That being said, I like to have paper in my hand.

The servos and controller are very well packaged. The esc looks solid and very similar to my yge units.

I pulled the bearings out of the head and checked the orientation. The cup of the thrust bearing was pointing out so I switched them back to inward. Everything else looked good.

I followed the instructions and got the head put together. Very smooth.

I can't wait to work on it some more!

A few pics of the kit...

Grats! Enjoy the build!

And yeah, I always print out manuals and bind them. Much easier to read.

Cool! have fun!!
Nice way of packaging all the parts, way better than having a pile of tiny bags.

That looks different than my kit. Mine had bags with hand written weights on them and printed labels with each step number/numbers.

I had a great time building mine! Good luck.

That is some EXCELLENT packaging!! I had an early kit where all the parts were loose in multiple bags. That it quite an improvement.

The Warp 360 kits have come a LONG way from the initial launch.

I hope word gets out and people see the improvements we've made to the packaging, quality, and other areas of the kit.

Congrats, Rob!

Jeff, Do you put the kits together? Or do they come from Compass like that?

This is the newest kit from Compass directly. The only thing Jeff did was order it, get it across the border then hand deliver it into my sweaty palms.... Ok, that is actually a fair bit of work...

This is their full meal deal kit with everything you need to fly a heli. The exception being a receiver. This would be equivalent to an Align 450l super bundle kit except with much better parts.

This is a fully mature product that will have the legendary compass support!

I have a spektrum satellite ready to go.

Exactly as Rob stated ... I did nothing other than order, ensure it arrived safely, and deliver it.

This kit has fully matured into a high quality product with excellent packaging as witnessed in his photos.

And it doesn't stop at the packaging. You can add excellent support. And top notch flight characteristics once it's in the air. Enjoy the new heli.

Well I got a little bit more done on it.

Word to the wise... Be careful opening the bag with the tail parts. A bolt slipped out of the tail pitch lever. Needless to say a good portion of my build time was searching through the garbage bag with a magnet.... I did find it eventually.

One thing I have found is that the screws are in 3 bags and they are not specific to the build order. Just make sure to have a caliper on hand. If that is not available then the cards in the bags have the part number correlated with the build step and an accurate outline picture of the screw. Not hard to find once you look in all the bags.

These screws are not bad at all, compared to the ones on my 250... Yikes those are nasty to work on.

The latest version of the kit looks so sweet! I'm itching to buy one to double up with two Warps in the hangar!

Maidened my second warp last weekend (my first warp burned, making me so pissed off I didn't fly for 6 months, not the warps fault but the ESC or motor though) and it flew absolutely awesome with the scorpion motor, a talon 35 esc and a vbar mini and MKS servos.
