Default lepton motor ?

can i use this motor ?

right now i have a hyperion z3025-08 (970kv) motor and not sure its the right one for this heli.
if i can use this hyperion motor what pinion sould i use?? right now i have a 24t and a 22t pinion.


i also have a hacker a30-12xl (770kv) motor. what would be the best motor to use? and what size pinion to go with?

o im useing 4cell batterys running a cc ine75 esc.

Hi,

Sorry to have missed your post earlier.

Is there a problem with the 970kv motor you have?

Ideally you should use lower kv rating to run motor near 100% throttle, but that's not absolutely necessary. Just more efficient.

check out the head speed calculator and play around http://heli.dacsa.net/calcv3/Default.aspx

I run a Strecker 1150KV motor on 4S 20T but have to keep the throttle down around 60%. I don't do 3D.

Mainly don't worry about it!

That motor should work fairly well - with a 22T pinion
Either use the ESC governor or a flat 85%~90% throttle curve
