Please do me a favor and quote what you would consider the first bash in that thread.

Thanks!

Heres what I know

From the looks of the Frenzy it's a clone of another heli that just came out. And what I can say about that other heli is it has MAJOR drawbacks as to maintence area and ease of assembly. You have to jump through quiet a few hoops to get the engine in and back out as the fan shroud bolts around the fan assembly with no easy way to remove it. If I remember right it has 10 bolts to remove, plus the engine mounting bolts and then the shroud has to be split and fished out, before you can remove the engine(even with the fan shroud off, you still have to unbolt the mount from the engine to extract it). Took me almost an hour to figure it out and have the parts in my hands. Talk about labor intensive! Now I will say that this wasn't my bird and I was doing it to help out a friend as he was busy at the time, plus I wasn't the original builder. I wasn't into the disassembly very far before I started to really appreciate the ease of engine removal on the Pantera. 4 bolts, 1 linkage and 2 twists and the engine (with mount) is in your hands. Can't get much easier than that!

Thomas

This seemed a bit harsh or you could say it was a uninformed opinion or some might say bashing , hey its the audacity forum it should have a biased view I like the pantera and all of its plastic goodness!!!

OK, I see what you are saying. I think he was referring to the ease of maintenance (or lack of) on the Vibe 50 which if I am understanding it correctly are not problems on the Frenzy. Certainly the radio tray isn't a dozen or so pieces to assemble. After seeing the video posted of the Frenzy in action at the LV Fun Fly, I am quickly building interest myself.

The funny thing is the owner of audacity rants about the frenzy being a clone and made in china. But the pantera is a clone of the jr air skipper and is made in Korea. LOL

Rjx hurrican, Pantera, and Airskipper are made by the same factory. The frames are different between the 3, but most of the rest of the parts interchange.

That whole thread referenced in the original post just reminds me why I like this forum over the other. There are so many other examples of the attitude problems folks have over there. I just don't like when someone gets up on a soap box and starts preaching down to me about right and wrong. And when the threads get abrubtly closed like that one did it makes me want to
The Frenzy is what it is and I'm having a blast with it. So no amount of bashing (if you want to call it that) is going to change my opinion of it. I didn't buy it to help non-american companies or any crap like that. It doesn't matter. I bought it for the same reason a fellow vibe 50 owner bought one. And that is to have a $219 helicopter that flies like and $800 helicopter. That's it in a nut shell. Fly one and see for your self.
