Pinion for 3S
What pinion comes with the combo kit?
I assume that whatever it is will be good for a 3s setup that will ultimately yield a 2700-3100 headspeed, correct?

16T, and yes. I have three headspeeds set in the YGE governor: 2400, 2700, 3100. I do 99% of my flying at 2700 and it's great.

Is the YGE pretty easy to setup with the transmitter or do you need to buy an extra programming card?

It comes set up already for regular gov mode. If you want to use "gov store" mode (recommended) you'll need the prog card. But you don't HAVE to do that, you can fly it just as it comes and it'll work better than 90% of the other ESCs on the market.
When set up in gov store mode it's frikken AWESOME, as good as Kontronik IMO.

Is there any easy to follow setup manuals for the YGE? Alls I did was setup flat curves to start off with.. the warning beeps for the throttle calibration is annoying!

Well, I have mine ordered and due to arrive tomorrow! I'm pretty pumped. Since I entered this hobby a couple of years ago I have really liked the look of the Protos ... I just don't really have the space for a 500-size heli. So, when the Mini came out it caught my attention.
Looking forward to getting it built! I got the kit with the motor and YGE. I'm going to be using 3s 2200 Turnigy's for now. Maybe next year I'll look at 4 or 6s. We'll see.

Sweeeet. You're gonna love it! Mine flies great on Turnigy 2200 30c packs, and you gotta love the price of them.

I know, they are a great price and I happened to have three of them [battery packs] that don't see much flight time. I use them in my ParkZone F4U Corsair but one of them will give me 11 minutes of flight time which is just about one minute longer than my attention span. So, they needed a better home.
Tomorrow can't come fast enough. I think I've hit the UPS website every hour today watching for status changes! Fun stuff.
