Default So I bought a used E5... now what?

Well, I purchased a new synergy e5. My first non miniature heli since 86ish. The e5 has the following:

Futaba BLS 451's x 3
Futaba BLS 251 tail servo
Ikon fbl
Futaba 6203SB
Castle Creations HV80
Castle Creations BEC Pro
Quantum 4125-560 12s
Rail 606 mains
Rail 96 tails

FBL Rotors Tail up grade
4 x Brand New Turnigy Nano-Tech 3300 mah (never used)
1 x Turnigy 1800 mah receiver pack

The heli was purchased new around jan or feb of this year. Is there anything I need to check or change other then the usual stuff? Was there any updates or other items that need to be looked at?

Any other option parts to look at? I'm not sure if it has the speed up tail gears or not. Do I need them?

Thanks

As long as your ordering from Ralph. I highly recommend the turnbuckle kit and progressive damping system. Stock performs brilliantly. But the fblrotors upgrades are fantastic.

Thanks.

Who's Ralph?

Where would you suggest ordering those from?
Sorry for my questions. I'm trying to get caught up on all the synergy reading. Thank goodness there isn't as much as there is on align stuff(g)

Thank you.

I appreciate the info. Like I said I'm trying to get caught up on reading all the info.

One I have the heli. I'll have to go and configure it for my jeti. Hopefully it won't end up to heavy with all those batteries and extra stuff on it.

Tanks again

You'd only need to think about running the 4.5 tail ratio if you were gunna run under 2300rpm on the main head and still want smack qualified tail authority. This option is built in for folks running the heli as 600/700 class (worth a look as I see you have 606 mains).

It's a pretty solid heli out of the box. Things worth a look into would be Ralph's progressive damper system (if you love tuning) and his tray system (when his contracted machine shop gets going again. I'm hoping he signs with KDE to do it from now on) if you decide to run 12s with brick packs.

The turnbuckles are a nice thing to have. Not required by any means, but it guarantees you'll never be that 1 half turn from perfect tracking. Something to put on if you splat the heli.

I agree, his upgrades/aftermarket parts are nice. I plan on the turnbuckles and maybe battery trays. I did put the 4.5 tail gears in though as my target headspeed is right on the line at 2200-2300 for the tail according to Matt himself. It is a well built heli. Once I get two in the air my 500pro will probably be donated to a good friend in Colorado.

The upgrades are totally not required synergy helicopters are great right out of the box but they do give your heli that extra little something that pushes it over the edge toward perfection. I think someday all the major manufactures will just include turnbuckles they make everything so much easier. Anyway welcome to the synergy family I know you're going to love it.

Do the stock Synergy ball link rods have opposite threading on each side for micro adjustment? Correct to assume the fblrotor turnbuckle have opposite threading?
Thanks.

The stock rods do not but the FBLRotors turnbuckles do.

Thanks.

Just ordered my E5 (unfortunately they are out of stock). Based on all of the positive feedback for this heli, I am really anxious to get my kit.
