Default What am I doing wrong?

I finally got the new MPA Para board and six new 2600mAH 3s packs for my 450.

With great anticipation I downloaded the PL8 V2 charging software and I hooked every thing up to gently cycle the new batteries. Then place them on storage charge until I finish the build on my TRex 450 DFC.

There are 6 of them connected to the MPA which of course is connected to the PL8's balance and charge ports. I also have the charger connected to my Windows (I hate Windows) laptop.

The PL8 is set to the JST-XH wiring mode.

All is well… except…

I can't get more than 10 AMPS total out of the PL8 which isn't even 1C charge rate on the batteries. No matter what I do, no matter which preset I use it won't let me edit the charge rate and it won't let me set up a new user preset. All I can do is use the drop down menu and go to 10 AMPS total.

Even directly on the charger that's the max I can get.

I'm obviously doing something wrong, but I have no idea what it is.

The power supply is a Solid Hobby 1100 watt 12/24 Volt PS that will do about 47 AMPs output. It's working perfectly. I'm plugged into the 24V output and seeing 26+ volts on the Supply tab of the software and the charger.

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

1) Use the high power preset. Presets 1 and 2 are tuned for 10 amps and below.
2) Increase the current limit to 47 amps. Default is 25.
3) Don't change the low supply limit. If you have already, drop it down to 11v.

Gregor99, thank you. That did the trick.

I actually did read the manual. I'm going to read thru it again. This charger has many, many features.

1S charging is a little tricky in comparison to my 206. With the 206 I just "daisy chain" multiple 6 cell cables. I can charge 24 1S 150-160 mAH batts at once.

I'm lovin the PL8 though; just got to get up the learning curve.

Thank you again.
