Default Problem – SOLVED – too many warnings – transmitter won't start

I set a voice warning on all three (0, 1, 2) gyro switch settings and then my Spektrum DX6 (new model) would not start as I could not satisfy the warning by moving the switch – I just got another warning voice.
I called HorizonHobby tech support – he wondered just why I did this foolish thing but after a laugh told me to hold the scroll wheel as I turned the transmitter on and this would bypass the warning screens (like windows boot into safe mode). I then removed the warning for all but gyro position 0. Now all is well.
Luck,
Vince

Funny! I accidentally did the same thing while setting a startup warning for a switch position, and somehow managed to get it set for alarm both above and below mid servo travel, so of course the same as you, and no way to kill the warning.

Luckily I was already aware that all Spek gear can be sent directly into setup mode by powering up while holding the wheel down as they have worked that way for several years now. At least I don't feel so bad and alone now for the goofy thing I managed to do

+1

And thankfully I also already knew about the trick of holding down the scroll wheel at power-up to save myself from the a screaming radio!

I wonder how many calls Horizon Hobby gets about this problem on a monthly basis.
