Default 3GX Cyclic sensitivity

Greetings,

Will be starting a 550 DFC build soon and I am new to 3GX, or any kind of FBL for that matter.
I have been practicing on Phoenix flightsim which has elevator and aileron responsiveness settings which helped to tame down the model.
When I look at the 3GX software videos, I saw Aileron Sensitivity setting but no Elevator Sensitivity.
How do I tame down 3GX?
Thanks in advance

Hi,

When you hook your 3gx up to your computer there are 2 parameters in the Flight mode Tab called
Elevator Flip Rate and Aileron Roll Rate. I can't recall what firmware version they appeared but the newer versions 3.0,3.1 and 4.0 do.
These are the two main adjustments for agility.
Obviously, put some Tx expo if desired to soften around mid stick also.

-edit- try the defaults, with some Tx expo, first as they are pretty tame imo

Just to add to Bonkievan's suggestion, make sure you set up 3GX in DIR mode W/O any Tx Expo first. After everything is set up in DIR mode and complete the 3GX set up, then you should add Tx Expo to tame it down around center stick.

Another think you can do during 3GX DIR set up, reduce the pitch than what is recommended(I believe 3GX PC software gives a range of what pitch you need to set up for sport flying versus 3D).
