I wonder if that is a typo. The 3400Kv motor in that series has only 500W of power.

It's very misleading to call a motor that can do 930W for 5 seconds a 930W motor. To answer your question, yes, that motor can be used in the G5 as the average power is definitely lower than 930W. The burst power of the Align 450MX 1700Kv than I am using is 970W and no problems here as this motor is rated for about 650W average.

It may very well be the pitch curves you are using, not the motor power. The G5 has a very linear pitch response, as opposed to other 450 sized helis that have a more explosive pitch response around mid stick. Try to use a S-shaped pitch curve and see if that works better for you. I wouldn't get another motor just yet.

OK, ive had a few 5min flights on this new motor paired with the ICE LITE50 doing loads of punch outs (upright, inverted & tail down), rainbows, tic tocs, biiiiiiiig inverse or outside loops & so far its performing very well + it comes down only warm (in 21c sunshine). I'll tach my head speed next time to see exactly what i'm running but it doesnt sound like its screaming at all, she handles well & i'm liking it
