Exactly. I saw my old roommate go through hell to get his Hk 450 clone working, so it gives me a pretty form bias.

Having flown my 700 a bunch, the last thing I'd want is a "I really hope this works" feeling when I turn off the throttle hold.

I'll stick with name brand stuff.

Seriously, my concern is for the individuals who are good enough to build one as their first 700 as they want to save money.

One crash from a failed component will cost you after repairs as much as a good quality kit. Also we need to be thinking about safety with all helis, not just the big ones..

This is a product with no warranty or support and no guarantee that it will have replacement parts available though the manufacturer...
+1

I'm sick in bed when I read cheesiun and bendium I laughed so hard I almost coughed up a lung....

My first concern would be that making it appear so inexpensive will draw people to it as there first heli.second is the guy that buys the hk 700 and slames mks servos in it a 380 kv motor on 14s.

I guess hk has saftey precautions in place ... poor shipping practices, no directions, missing parts and if you get over thoes hurdles you have the cheesium and bendium to keep from over powering its machine. There's also the vrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr frrrrrrrrttttzzzzzzz as the tt nukes its self ...

So it's made by Phoenixtech then. That's actually not bad.

My first reaction is let the market decide.

It well attract a lot once inexperienced builders. Let's hope the instructions are very good, and that it is an easy build.

Check the manual on the HK site. The instructions are some warnings about safety and a single exploded diagram showing where the parts go. Basically it's a LEGO kit without booklet and you have to do with the picture on the box.

It's the same thing as the new Chaos 700 so just use the Chaos manual.

You read my mind.
The first thing I thought about after seeing this was Align's issues with the DFC heads when they released them and all the video's being posted of Trex's exploding in mid air. I cringe to think of what might happen with these HK versions, although if it's by phoenixtech it might be ok. Their flight demo video doesn't reassure me that it has been tested very hard either.

To the people who are volunteering to be the first test pilots of this new heli, God's speed and stay safe.

HK does not carry TSA.

Normally I'm against bashing a new model that no one has flown yet. But since its hobbykong we're talking about...

Now what I want to know is how HK managed to get supposedly rebranded Chaos 700 helis when they have been out of stock here for months on end.

The Chaos 600 has been out of Stock at RC Aerodyne for a year now so it really does not matter what the pricing is----no stock no sale!!!

chaos never designed heli's, they were just buying the kits from a factory in china. The owner told of how it started in an interview.

I have to say, I like the looks of it. Wonder how the quality is of the parts? Hobby King has actually stepped up their quality a lot IMO. I have been testing out some YEP escs and Orange DSMX sats and I must say they appear to be excellent quality at super prices. I would like to see some reviews of this heli from the masses.
