How much pitch are you running with the speed fuse? I am at 14 degrees without the fuse but I have concerns that it is too much and may cause a boom strike when I install the tail cover.

Thanks in advance.

I just received one of the Micro Heli speed fuselages that I purchased from NEXRC off ebay. (one like posted on previous page) On initial inspection, it is every bit as nice or nicer than the previous red and white align one that I had. Only real difference is that it does not have the rear canopy magnets that the Align canopy has. I got it for $133 shipped after 1st purchase 10% off coupon. Will post pics when I get it installed.

Finally got the fuse installed on my 700. Not quite the perfect fit that my first Align canopy was as the rear tail assembly had to be shimmed against the outer fuse boom. The rear of the main canopy is not quite aligned with the rear boom which I attribute to the mounting hole being placed about 3mm too low. All in all I like the look and it will definitely be more visible than stock pod and boom.

There are some threads floating around using the fuselage for a 700N. From what I remember it needed some slight modification to fit the nitro frame.

It's just the tail cover I'm looking for, not so much the canopy for the frame. I'm using the 700e V3 frame, it's just I'm using the 700N DFC boom, that let's us run 713 and 115 without fear of a blade strike. So I'm only looking to see if the 10mm extra length of the 700n DFC boom will work with the 700e speed boom cover.

It's not looking to good, the back of that boom is molded to fit around the tail case clamp and the front looks to form fitting also. So unless they come out with a longer one, I don't think it could ever fit. Even if we could slot the holes, it probably wouldn't be as strong and it is taking the place of the boom supports.
I don't know much about the 700n DFC frame, but if it's close to the 700e and they made a cover for that, then I think that cover could be made to fit.

And unfortunately it's a "Speed" fusalage so I'm sure Align isn't gonna make one for the nitro

Lucky me, I guess.
I didn't know there was a longer tailboom.
This the standard V2 frame and tailboom.

Lol yeah you sure we're. Cause the nitro comes with a 10 mm longer boom which doesn't work with the boom cover

I thought it was only the newer DFC kits / models that had the longer boom?
That boom allows the longer 720mm blades with the 115mm tail blades.

The 700N DFC kit also has the narrower frame spacing (similar to the 700E DFC kit I think) and the Speed Fuse tailboom does not fit that one either.

I guess I have the "stock" 700N boom - 690mm blades and 105mm tail.

Tge 700N boom is 10 mm longer than the normal one. I believe the longer boom actually says nitro on it or 700N or something like that and although it stretches the tail 10 mm you still xan only run 710 with 106 tail I wouldn't increase either for fear they would hit.

http://www.alignrcusa.com/index.php?...roducts_id=931

Part number HN7047 Tailboom, 785mm.
According to Align, it is used on the 700N Pro and the 700E.

I guess some are longer.
But, I think I have the correct one on mine.
