Default Trekker 800 triblade.

Doing a 3 bladed head conversion on my 800 Trekker using NHP 800 Razor pro blades, stabilisation and phasing taken care of by Silverline V bar, should have it all tied up and ready to test at the weekend.
So 900 blades off and 800 3 blader on.

Now this should be interesting

Check your blade balance and CG.... or this may get ugly very quickly.

Very Nice
Did you go through your FBL setup again?

Also did you set your phasing?

Default Trekker 800 triblade.

What esc and motor you using and how are the temps? The three blade head can heat things up at least they did in my friends whiplash.

At the moment the CC 120 HV and Align motor that comes with the Trekker, was a little bit warmer but not much, pitch management will make a difference also, but am thinking of changing to all Kontronik at some point.the same set up I have in my Logo 800 extreme.

First flight at 1600 rpm, second at 1400, as I said it was VERY windy, but think 1400 will be the sweet spot.

Head is from TSA, so any TSA supplier can get it, I got mine from here.
You WILL need to fabricate a swash driver though and make custom length links etc. and possibly a custom main shaft depending on application.
Nice quality components and strong, I can recommend it as a good buy.
Also note it isn't a plug and play head, it requires phasing.

Hey there!!!

First off, the build looks great! Im impressed!

Secondly, I was referred to someone to ask you about a setup im trying to do.
I have a Trex 700 DFC and I want to slap a 3 blade setup on it! I was thinking about using a JR head that they sell with blades included (I can get a great deal on it so that helps). Do you know if this will work?

Lastly, is there anything special that you have to do with the FBL unit to make it work? I currently use a Skookum Sk540 so I hope that unit will work?

Cheers!
Dana B.

Hi

The head and blades will work no problem, not sure if the JR swashplate arms will lign up with the DFC frame set up though.
As stated, head and blades no problem.
As to your question on the Fbl, you must make sure that you have the head phasing correct, just make sure the system you choose will allow for this adjustment so that when you have one blade over the boom, when giving ELEVATOR input the blade DOES NOT MOVE, once that is done you are set to go.
