Does any Futaba telemetry Rx have good range?

I've been spending much money and time rebuilding my copter so it has sbus2 telemetry. Namely altitude and battery telemetry. Tonight I did a range check and found I only got 460 feet out of the telemetry. The receiver itself with transmit over 850 feet. WTF? Is Futaba grabbing their ankles for the FAA?
Enough of that, I know......Does Futaba make a telemetry receiver that has more than 460 feet of range? I gotta make a decision whether to pull out and sell out or move forward.

My experience with my 14SG:
　
7003SB I get some dropouts at 1/4 mile or less.
　
7008SB I have flown to a little over a mile with my FPV aircraft and have fairly good telemetry signal. Some dropouts when I turn at that distance but it’s plenty good for keeping track of battery voltage.

I did a second test last night with a fully charged Rx battery(4.6v). I walked two blocks before I turned back, about 900 feet I guess. So that may have had an effect. I was using a battery that was discharging for the first test.
How do you like the 14 SG? Sounds like a fine Tx.
I've been using the 10CHG Tx with the r6014hs Rx. Lots of options. Now I have the 10J Tx with the r3008sb Rx. I'm getting claustrophobic with the little screen and options available. All I wanted was altitude telemetry. I looked at the FRsky gear but seemed like I'd have a clutter mess on my Tx and copter. So I went Futaba. And I'm tieing the Sbus to an HC3sx helicommand unit.
