Default Kosmik 160 overheat slowdown

I've got a kosmik I've been flying for 2.5 years now. I'm just starting to fly hard and am getting fet#3 overheats and motor slow down toward the end of my flight twice today

In the 90 degree weather. Am I just flying hard or does it need service? Or is it just hot?

Other than the steady rise in tFET temps to critical, your logs look pretty normal.

If you have telemetry, I suggest you set an alarm on tfet at 185F so that you know when your temps are getting up there. Then when you hear that alarm, you can do some big air to bring the temps down.

You are definitely having an issue with cooling. You should benefit from opening up your canopy for better cooling. My KDE motors stick through the canopy, so all the heat they produce is exhausted out the top.

Also, break up your flying so that you are not just banging it around in one spot for a long time. Keep your heli and the air flowing frequently.

Ok ya toward the end I was just smacking it on the deck to the best of my ability. I'll add more moving around in there on hot days.

Question. I've not don't any playing with the ir settings. Would raising this to match the resistance of the quantum motor help temps?

I don't think it will increase temps much if any.

It will definitely improve governor performance though.

Changing to a fixed timing value will decrease temps.
