almost crashed gaui nx4 today !
i flew my nx4 today first flight went fine still tuning motor. everything went great engine running a little rich but other than that fine .. i also put a new set of spin blades on there which felt great in the air !. so i fill a new tank up started it up took off and the rotor head started to jitter and decided to go to the left sharpley .. i slammed the stick the other way and cut the engine as soon as possible managed to get it on its skids and bumped the blades slightly head speed was very low at that point .. little white paint off the blades. so i took it home for inspection and turned it on the servos were jittering and pushing left on the swash .. after wiggling the wires about in the beastx this cured this problem
should i just asume that the wires came loose and put some hot glue on there or what ? i dunno what else to do .. there no damage to wires or anything so i guess vibrations got to the wires and they came out let me know what you nitro guru's think |

Hey buddy,
Yes!! Hot glue the wires. I personally do this on every heli now, nitro or electric. You could try to spool up w/o the blades on to see if it goes to the left again. I would rebind to be safe and make sure satellite RX has a steady light. I assume you are using a DSMX satellite. Keep us posted as I too fly BeastX. For engine I believe I am a few clicks out of one full turn, but that might also depend on your weather, fuel, plug. tauseef www.cuttingedgecnc.com

no i am using hitec system its very different to spectrum.. il hot glue the plugs on beastx and my rx to be safe ..i was lucky i guess hehe it flys very well with beastx i am running ds525 on the head and feels very responsive around center. once i get the engine tuned and ready il stick a gov on there and get a video of some 3D flys real nice at the moment apart from that slight problem .. just as smooth as my logo one thing i notice is that when in a stationary piro .. the heli does not track dead on flat . as i think its because of the tail heavy problem .. have you got this with the beastx ? |

Ahhh sorry I assumed Spectrum Beastx. As for the piros I don't think so but will make it a point to check on my next flight.

they put a dab of hot glue on the base of the FBL unit and where the servos wires plug into it. you cover the wires and the base this is done so nothing wiggles loose.

Just use hot glue and glue the plugs to the flybarless unit so that vibes won't cause the plugs to back out. It will hold them real nice but when the day comes that you need to remove the plugs it only takes a little work to get the glue to separate and peel off
