Default TLS1-VOL Flight Pack Voltage Sensor on my XG14

So for those of you electric flyers that haven't tried a JR Flight Pack Voltage sensor I highly recommend it. I fly 6s and 12s Helicopters and the timer is nice but you either err on the short side with pack left or you fly a little to long and overdraw the pack. I set my 6s packs to notify me when voltage hits 22.5 volts on my JR XG14 and I land about 25%. I fly my JR Forza 450's for most lunches and this allowed me to fly for between 4:30-6 minutes depending on head speed and flying style. I never have to guess if my packs are to low. It allows me to make the most of my lunch. I love this sensor. If you were considering one check them out. MAH counters are nice but since different batteries of the same size can be different MAH this can be difficult. Weaker packs tend to come down @ 30+% but they show similar minimum voltages.
I have one on my Forza 700 and plan on adding one to my Forza 700 Speed. Never have to worry about throwing in a discharged pack again! The first screen shows the telemetry read out the second screen shows minimum and maximum voltages. This minimum voltage reading came from a tail down funnel at high speed which is when the alarm went off, once I returned to a hover the voltage rose above the minimum 22.5 volts. http://www.jramericas.com/233971/JRP03496/

I have had the TLS1-PWR sensor on my Forza 450 for 18 months and just cant see myself flying heli's without knowing the voltage. The benefit of the PWR sensor is it also displays the MAH used. Only downside it the sensor is a little chunky.

The other issue is it can only handle for up to 4s and 80 amp max. Cuts out everything bigger than a 3s 450 size heli. Hope JR comes out with a new compact unit for 600-700 class machines.

I did not actually consider that as I have only ever had a need for 3s. Considering 3s is probably the minority now days and the 80amp factor, the market would certainly be limited.

My Forza 450 (3s) still scares the crap out of me sometimes and seriously if I squeezed even 50% of the potential power out of it, I would be surprised, so I have no plans yet to go to 6s or a bigger heli.

I use Unisense sensor. It works well with Jr and displays other values as well. No issues with 12S configuration...
