I just installed a 5084 with an assan ga250, I'm not running it at 333hz which it is listed under for fear of frying my brand new servo. I'm running it at 1520us/250hz, had my 2nd chance to test fly today. After 5 mins of stall turns & a few slow fig 8s I immediately took the temp of the servo because it was a lot hotter than my 1st test with the new gyro/servo combo, it was near 150 degrees!!!! I've heard the 5084 can run WARM, but is 148-149degrees too hot? Should I use the 333hz setting or stoop down to 70hz? What good is haveing a rudder specifc servo if I have to run it near analog speed??

Sorry, I do not have the specifics here today but would not let any servo get that hot.

I emailed hitec this morning & got a reply from a rep in less than an hour. He said the correct gyro setting 250Hz & check mechanical, & should NOT get that high of a temp. I'm lucky its still alive! I double checked the gyro settings & sure enough it was set wrong to 333Hz, think I got confused after toggleing the gain switch so many times & I was actually in the DELAY setting. I ve reset it to 250Hz, was hoping to test tonight but the wife had to go to the store & my daughter is sleeping. I also was able to make a nearly perfect straight line with the tail pushrod, wasn't off by much but I ll see how she flies as soon as I can
