Default Battery length Agile 5.5?

Hi guys!
Been looking at the Agile 5.5 for a while now,
just wonder if my 10S FlightPower (longpacks,
260mm. will fit in the chassie?
Planning to stretch to 600!

By the way, really enjoyed the skills and energy Nelson showed earlier,
where is he now?
Regards, Peter

I wanted to use the 12s stick packs I already made up for my E5. They are 2x 6s 2600's weighing 955g and measure 255 x 48 x 43mm. I omitted the front plate to allow the stick pack to pass through. Since it's a tab in slot design I wasn't worried about losing strength, well in one direction anyway.

The location in the picture is as far forward the stick pack will go easily giving me a slightly nose heavy cg., so I still have some wiggle room as I finish the heli.

To keep the battery from sliding out, I'm using a medium density silicone foam rubber glued to the tray (it comes with adhesive on one side). As long as it's clean, in shear it sticks to the battery shrink wrap like crazy.

This is a very nice solution.
Would be better if the front packs was better supported but like you said it may still need to go aft some.

Thank you, and I thought the same thing about the support. I read somewhere on this forum someone using carbon fiber strips to stiffen the packs. It's hard to see, but the black rectangular thing running the length and width of the battery is 1mm carbon fiber strip. I have it on both sides. I used 3M ultra high adhesion double sided tape to tape the strips directly to the battery shrink wrap. The batteries, strips, balance extension and extended leads are then covered in 3.5" (90mm) shrink wrap. The flat shrink wrap surface really grips the silicone foam.

The carbon fiber strips essentially act to extend the effective tray length. I do plan on using one more strap just forward of the front gear to really hold everything down, but with my big air lazy flying style, if the battery moves I know I have much bigger problems!
