Sorry if I confused you..I'm talking about the right side servo(mini) slot...not micro slot..

What do you think is needed on speed and torque ..min specs for the warp tail ?

It appears that way ... I haven't checked the specs on them though to be sure. That's unfortunate. Then again, why do you need to go HV on a model this size?

Good question. Because they can????

Jeff, anyone here know how to couple up the Ice esc's to the Sk gov properly? I just followed the setup instructions in the Sk thread sticky section. And as soon as I upgraded to vs 4.01 and engaged the gov, it started ramping up and down by 500 rpm jumps at a minimum. Then shuts down in idle up 2 after warbling. I used the Hobbywing rpm/phase sensor.

Airplane mode, Vs4.01. Ramp up 10.
135T divided by 16T pinion. Then multiplied by 10 (mag count) and divided by two. I really want this to work. What I wonder did I miss here?

To help get the CG tight with an extra rx pack up front

Plus there's almost no esc with bec that will not brownout with MKS servos on the bench. (Haven't heard of any issues in flight)

Jeff, I just found out from the guys on the Sk forums. We have to download the latest software link version 3.53.11. Then when you re link the Castle controller it prompts you to download the latest 4.02 non beta software. On the upper left of the screen where you usually choose between Heli and Airplane, it scrolls down farther to enable an external gov! Finally! After all these years. A factory option that works from Castle that links our Skookums!

Just got mine done.

Also, no matter what guys tell you. Do not cut your Warp CF servo arm covers down to 11mm hole to hole using the MksDs95 servos! I did and can only hit 9/9 with the servos set at 125%. Use the stock outer hole in the servo arms. Even then you will have to set your servo travels in the Advanced menu up to 135%. Then the rest will look like the pics. Out of all the fbl heads I have tailor built. These mix settings stay in the yellow as there is simply nothing you can do about them without loosing servo accuracy. Actually Georgi in the Sk forums prefers or should I say pushes for servo travels closer to 100% to retain precision. I played for an hour and the closest I could get in keeping the 12/12 close and the mix in the yellow was this.

And now the gov works fantastic with the Ice esc.

If I could only ding my tail vibes down from 3.5, I would be happy right now. And I really haven't even flown this yet.

Default Cycliv gains.

What cyclic gains are you all running?
I cant remember what my hiller and damping gain was 50 or 60 from memory, But i ended up with 100% Cyclic gain, from the tx. I continued to up the gain expecting it to oscillate at some point, but it didnt! was supler locked in. Other than the bobble issues that were very minor.

I gave up on the SK540 and went to vbar,, for now, I prefer so much about the SK and will return once firmware upgrades fix elevator bobble, I still fly skookum on my 7HV as that doesn't suffer from the bobble like 3 of my other helis had to varying degrees.

Interesting. I can't get bobble no matter how hard I try. Can't access my settings right now but as soon as I can I will post them up.

So if you jab forward or back on the elevator then let it flick back to center it just stops solid? no bobble? The warp was very minor, but enough to make tick tocks and rainbows less pretty or easy. my 7HV doesn't bobble at all, stops solid, my atom would bobble a LOT, much less when stretched to a 515...
as it turns out I have some bad vibes, the vbar cant fly the heli well at all like this! so maybe that was effecting the sk540 a little too? its a shame the 540 doesnt have logging or some kind of vibe analyzer atleast. If I can borrow an SK to try again after get rid of the tail vibes I may sell the vbar and go back to sk if the bobbles are gone.
Anyway, this is not so much about the bobble issues!

Keen to know how much gain people were getting on the cyc, I was amazed it handled 100%

Gain of 100 is not doing you any favours. Mines around 45. I'm going to plug it in tomorrow night and post all my settings up for you.

In the mean time can you try this before tomorrow night and post results?

Tx cyclic gain 45
Control rates on cyclic ail &elev 280
Hilller decay 140
Bell gains locked at 60 both
Elev damping 12

Everything else std

I no longer have the SK heathy, I ran with much the same settings you had for a while and was ignorantly happy, as I upped the gain, (from TX, not hiller/damping gains) it only became ever more locked in! It was doing me plenty of "favors" it even reduced my bobble further. why do you think it wasn't helping?

what happens for you when you go above 45%?

I dont like my bell gains at 60! I up the cyc acceleration and down the bell gains significantly over what the auto bell gains come up with. I have tried heaps of settings, but this is my preference on all my helis.
