Default Could use a little advice please!

Hello all...

Finally the stars aligned and i could start breaking in my TRM231 on a Spectra. I ran the first tank through and it ran absolutely perfect. Stayed in a hover and kept the head speed around 1400-1500 or so. When the tank emptied, I landed and idled for a minute or so then shut it down.

Waited the hour or two and went for tank #2. Almost right away i felt the power was off. This was maybe a minute or so into the flight. I landed and noticed the idle was WAY higher than the first flight. After trimming it down as far as it would go (the butterfly would be closed at this point) the idle was low enough that the blades would stop. I opened the low needle a 1/2 turn to see if that would help but it seemed to get worse. In fact, when I advanced the throttle, the engine would sag and wouldn't pick up RPM. I decided to shut it down but now the idle is even higher. I managed to stop the blades and had to pinch off the fuel line to shut it down.

When I got home I verified the butterfly was indeed closing all the way so I'm not sure what to think about the idle. The spark plug has a light tannish appearance and I think I read online that's what I'm wanting.

So anyone have any ideas?

Nevermind!!!!

While taking the air filter off to verify the butterfly was closing all the way, I noticed that the entire carb was moving around!!! hahaha..

One of the two hex head screws at the base of the carb had backed out against the carb body and the other one was loose.

I just hope I didn't hurt my baby :-(
