I had nothing but problems with my one-way bearing on my 600E. I tried every type of lubrication and several new one way bearings and they would always lock up. I eventually purchased the beefy one-way bearing from lukerc but even that one failed after a few flights. It had the opposite problem of the stock bearings and wouldn't hold anymore.

I purchased the Boca one-way last winter and haven't had a single problem since. Very highly recommended and worth every penny.

I would think SS would be better in a heli. The plastic sounds like it is designed for low temp, high corrosion. Unfortunately, I emailed Boca on a one way bearing question a few months ago and they chose to not reply.

ok i got my Boca Oneway bearing today and i have two questions

1. should i grease up the inside of the bearing?

2. i took the align one out 1 week ago so i forgot how to put it back in i think....so if i hold the bearing in my hand and have the main shaft connected the shaft should spin right...... but if i try turning the shaft CCW it should lock up right?

Light oil only in one way bearings. Grease will clog it up

If the OWB has a rotation arrow on it, that should face down.

Sounds like you have it right. The main gear will spin cw when installed, so it should grag the main shaft sleeve and turn the main shaft.

A popular one way bearing lubricant is automatic transmission fluid. Only a few drops are needed.

Ah a thriving metropolis (or small town) outside Buffalo, NY where it is always warm and sunny

Blue and red loc tite are made for bolts, green is made for retaining bearings.

I don't know if I would want to rely on loctite to hold that bearing in place. There are some serious forces being placed on that bearing and if the loctite fails you better know how to do an auto.

I wonder if anyone else has had this experiece with the Boca One Way. You might even want to call Boca and enquire about this. I would be very concerned about it.

Let us know how it goes. One of mine needs to be replaced and I just ordered an arbor press.

Anti Taco, please do not double post the same question multiple forums. It makes it hard for people to respond and for searching when someone is searching for the same information.

Your answers are here in the one you posted in the main forum.
