Powerlab 8 field charging
Im new to this. I have a powerlab 8 with a 24v psu. I want to know what would be the best way to field charge my 6 3300 lipos. Should I get a 75w car 12v to 110v inverter so I could use my 24v Power supply right off my car's cigarette lighter plug? could I charge at 1c(19.8v)? what about 2c(39.6v) off my car? or Would it i burn the fuse? Or use the pl8's car battery cable adapter and plug it directly to the pl8? When charging off the car battery, do you guys have the car running as you charge or leave the car off?

You can run the charger from a running car. But often times the power is unstable and may trigger a safety code. Many may argue with me on this point, but then come back later and ask why the Powerlab is giving supply related safety codes. The charger will handle it, but the operator (you) may not have patience for this.

My 2012 K1500 Chevy Truck is not stabile if I run the truck. It does cause safety codes.
Put a voltmeter on the truck and it bounces around. |

Advise using your cars battery only if its and electric car, only then do you have a system that will handle charging LiPOs
