Does anybody know who is producing the new KBDD? Are they Mavrikk or not?

Regards, Helmut

I hope so, mavs are still my favorite. I'm sure that we will never really know, however.
Even if they are "modeled" after mavrikks... they are not mavrikks. They're KBDDS!!!

My 325mm KBDD neon green blades are about 1 mm shorter on the trailing edge than my Mavericks. Also about 1.1grams lighter. The neon colors make for excellent disk visibility!

Just a thought, maybe these are the mavrikk st sport blades...just rebranded for kbdd. Even though they said they aren't mavrikks, they look exactly like them and the pricing is the same basically too...

i dont know where you got that there are two versions of these blades. I just looked at the KBDD site high and low and there is no sign of them mentioning "sport and pro" versions. Helidirect has been sold out for a couple months of all sizes

I got that info direct from them. They had the new blades at IRCHA but I think they only had 3 sets in the USA. They are not ready to release them yet. They had some Orange bottom and Yellow bottom ones and were asking every one what they thought would be easier to see in the air. Orange won so the Yellow set they put in as a Pilot prize for the only set of yellow blades that would ever be made.

I did get to see a set of the Orange ones fly and they stood out nice. I voted for yellow but I guess I got out voted.

I saw a pic. of the new blades someplace I will see if I can find it.

Pro blades aren't on the website yet. They aren't ready for sale. However, they are in production. I don't know the differences, but I'll be sure to snag a couple of sets.

with fall just around the corner these blades will be pretty nice to fly with trees in the background, visibility shouldn't be an issue. I`m curious to see the new CF Extreme Edition blades .

the end of October they should be available around that time or around the first of November . from what I hear the camera had a hard time capturing the true neon orange look. ill be looking into getting a set . the area I fly in is heavily loaded with trees that is a pain to fly in when they are dormant and the skies are cloudy . a black or white blade makes it hard to see sometimes far away . the thing about kbdd is they sure aren't afraid to use a bright color .

I have the green with black edge mains for my 700 an 550 but they really aren't very visible so I would definatly consider changing both to the new color. I'll keep my eyes peeled for the release. Where did you get the pics from?

I only flew the 325mm ones.
Those were pretty heavy, and wide chord for 325mm blades.
Their bigger blades seem closer to the norm weight-wise, though on the heavier side and with a wider chord.
As for the visbility, I was kinda dissapointed, the orange is really bright (more than the orange lynx tail fins), but in flight it's much less visible than my orange mcpx blades.
They only really show up with the right angle to the sun.
I'd guess that is because the mcpx blades have much wider chords for their length compared to bigger blades.
