Idea for mounting HD...........

In my Logo 500, there is an unused space behind the battery and under the main gear about 2x4 inches... on this area, I will mount a balsa flooring with a small hole in the bottom for the HD light to shine thru, then the plastic tubing will make a u turn thru the flooring and along side the HD unit, Then cover the whole business with plastic dome. Has this been tried?...In a fixed wing, the static port is above the leading edge and 4 or feet behind the prop.. lots of prop wash yet the altimeter work fine, I understand the need for the funnel, as a 450 size does not have the space i do...........Larry

Where you mount the HD module...
The only thing is to keep it away from high voltage or any electronic noise as possible.
where the location is past that really doesn't make a big difference.
BUT the static streamer must be mounted as instructed.
