Just get the Gensace 1600mah Warp 360 packs guys. They are specifically made for that Warp and fit perfectly without moving the canopy. Perfect COG with my setup too. They are 278 grams for reference and I get 5-6min flight times at 3200rpm with aggressive sport flying.

Both similar in weight and their shape seems to allow putting more weight, more forward to help with COG.

I originally thought the same thing and went with the Giant Power 1300mah 35C packs. I found that I can actually balance better with the lone thinner/longer Gens Ace 1200mah pack I have because it can be positioned further forward into the nose of the canopy than the fatter/shorter GP packs.

So you can't really move the short fact GP packs forward much because they hit the stock canopy?

Sorry just making sure that is what you are saying

Yep, that's what I'm saying. Here's a quick illustration....
I installed the batteries upside down so the velcro wouldn't stick, mounted the canopy, and then pushed the batteries as far forward as they would go. You can see there is about a 15mm difference in the position of the nose of the battery. The short/fat battery just doesn't go quite as far forward.

ok cool got it. Thanks so much for the illustrations. I do appreciate it.
Ok so I'm either going to go with the Gens Ace 1200 6S or Gens Ace 1600 or Pulse 1350.

Not a big fan of the Hobby Partz service.

The Pulse are a bit thicker and heavier. Heavier because of their thicker wire? That might be a bonus!

Going to take my time and really weight my options.

Using Gens Ace 6S 40C 1400 mah for 5 min flights (I'd categorize my flying style as aggressive sport flying than 3D).

Because I am sharing batteries with my Gaui X3, and I'm too lazy to remove the battery slider from the batteries, I leave them installed and get great CG without having to mount the batteries far forward. I do install wires inward for easier canopy installation.

Just picked up 3 of the 6s 1600mah 40c Gens Ace. I only have 1 cycle on them, but for fit, finish, and balance so far they are my favorite batteries in the Warp. They give a perfect CG.

I have tried:

nano-tech 1300 45C shorty - performs well, but puffs if charging in more than 1C - they are at about 30 cycles ea - hard to CG

Haiyin 1300 35C - mid grade performance, higher IR than nanos but no puffing even with an lvc flight - lasted about 35 cycles - ok for CG, but must be moved forward

Pulse 1350 35C - good performer but taco'd early so I don't have any longevity data on it- ok for CG, but must be moved forward

If I were buying more batts today they would the Gens Ace 1600s

Default Gens Ace 1600 charge rate

What is the max charge rate for the Gens Ace 1600? I have two of them and either I'm blind or the charge rate isn't printed on the packs anywhere.

I've gotten spoiled on 5C charges.

Hey guys,

The 1600mah 65c dominator packs are longer and skinnier similar to the gens ace packs as well.

You may want to give them a try.

Check the label on the back side of the battery. On my 1200mah 6S Gens Ace it says "Never charge above 5C" buried back there with all the other warnings/disclaimers.

The 1600s don't have a charge rating. I have been charging at 3c no problem.

buy more batteries and charge them at 2C tops, no need to rush things, in my longer flying sessions I just charge three bats at a time (no more than 2C) while flying the other three.

Anyone try out these yet? Optipower Ultra 1400mah 6S 50C

I just picked some up for my soon-to-be-built Warp 360. It was either these or the Punch RC Platinum 1500mah 6S 65C for $50 a pop too. I have some other Punch RC 65C packs and they are solid, but wanted to try out some Optipower too.

I just ordered a couple of the
Gens Ace 1400mAh 22.2V 40C 6S1P Lipo Battery Pack.
Hope this improves CG over the Nano-Tech 1300mah which make my warp quite tail heavy!

Test fitted them yesterday, and the CG was perfect!
