Nice!
I'm a ways from hands off hover with the BladeCopterX - know where the issue is (blade grip assembly) but haven't been willing to tear it down to fix it ... having too much fun flying.

I'm watching it sit there while the wind blows and the rain falls...lousy tropical system! :-(

That's so cool. Is it hard to land in the dark?

You've given me some inspiration.

I had to stop flying at 6pm yesterday. You know - avoid the 'dusk battery of doom'.

How much mass did you put on that heli? Can I guess? 100 g extra?

Also, I'm not really into UFO's and stuff but i thin a quad or hexa would really be awesome.

I'll have to to weigh it, it does fly like a pig. I'll post in the regular forum once I have all the specs for you. I did over do a couple things, like the extra battery for the cold lights - not needed but I didnt want to work 2 cells more than the 3rd in the pack. Tail blades are more novelty than function. Main blades are 325 (normally fly 335) could have put smaller batteries on the blades (internal ones are junk) but the blades still weigh less than woodies.

This is awesome! I can't wait to try this now. Just curious how hard the blue lights are to focus on? I notice at night blue lights blur more due to refraction and I'm wondering if the blur would hurt or maybe even help with that outline. I still use my neon yellow canopy when flying with overcast because the default just silhouettes too much for my comfort. I always take efficiency over style and wonder if color combinations even matter with night flying.

i dont know, that will really screw up the cg. Maybe extend the skids and mount under the heli

Haven't found a good way to mount it under the skids. I've mounted it on the nose and that worked great but you can't put the canopy on. I'll test it tomorrow. I'm guessing the zyx will compensate after it's off the ground a second or two.

First set of flights with the AR7200BX, using the same default settings as the 450x.
Previously, I was using a very well tuned Copter-X FBL.. So my goal in the next few days is to get it tuned to feel at least as good as the Copter-X that I was using. I switched to beastx so that both of my heli's are using the same thing. What I learn on one, I can apply to the other..

I flew 2 batteries, just to see what it feels like.

I had to reduce #1 dial to get rid of wobbles.

I still get a bit of tail whipping, but I forgot to bring my documentation to the field and forgot which parameter to adjust, (D)..

A tiny bit of tilt on pitch pumps, which indicates my swash isn't level, so I'll need to sort that out tonight.

It does not not have nearly as aggressive of a punch out as it was before. I'll double check my collective pitch range..

When I go inverted, the heli seems 'unstable'.. I'll fix some of the stuff above, and then see where I am inverted..

Overall it is very nice, and once I reduced dial #1 just a tad, it had an smoother hover than the copter-x FBL.

I'm sure by end of day tomorrow I'll have it fully dialed in.

Just took her to the park & flew a few batts in circuits like I normally fly.... I just have to say this heli is so damned smooth to fly. I am still running flybarred unlike most & just rebuilt it last week after a major crash that was all my fault. But it flies so nice just as it is.

To anyone looking for a good cheap 450 this is truly a great heli. No regrets on buying this one....

I installed my carbon fiber blades and painted my tail fins red. Nothing like a sloth and a slippery sausage to get your motor going faster with better performance.

Flew 4 packs in daylight with some wind, what a blast. My daughters birthday party today so all my relatives got a show. No unplanned landings so I'll call it a good day. Too tired for night flight tonight, that will have to be later in the week after the weather blows over.

Flew 2 batts today, did some flips, rolls, front flips, and even a couple 5 sec inverted hovers!! YESSS!!! Second battery i was inverted and a HUGE gust came through, scared the crap out of me. I just rolled back over and hovered till it went away and i was worried cause the timer was going off and i didnt want to land in that wind ... 30 seconds past the timer the gust went away and i landed right away. Few!!

AWESOME DAY!!
