Default Is the 7c a good helicopter radio?

I am trying not to buy a new radio right now. I have a 7c 2.4 and a 9cap with a tm8 module. Both of these radios are in like new condition and have seen very little use.

My current projects (not even started yet but setting on the bench) is a Thunder Tiger Mini Titian e325 SE and a Thunder Tiger Raptor e550S which will utilize a 140 degree swash.

Just wanted some opinions on the Helicopter menus of these radios. The swash menu does not indicate what degree of swash they support.

Thanks.

The 7C will work fine to start. I had orginally setup my Trex 550E using one.The only issue may be the RX and setting up a FBL Unit with a good BEC

I like my T7C which is a simple Tx to program. My 8FG is great and can do many more programming that T7C could not do.

Page 61 of T7C manual: http://manuals.hobbico.com/fut/7c-2_4ghz-manual.pdf

It shows 6 different swashplate configurations. For 140 degree, I think H3 is the one.

I agree the 7C is a good radio and will do 140 degree swash. I have an older E550 that I fly with my 7C. Good for basic learning all the way up to wild 3D. When I was ready for more power I upgraded my E550 to 8s using an ICE 100 ESC. The ICE is out of production so these days you use the CC Edge 100 for 8s.

I have a 7C and it works great. Wishing it had a servo monitor screen and could display curves but otherwise, it does everything I need.

The FrSky TFR6 - 7 Channel FASST compatible receivers from alofthobbies for $25.50 work absolutely flawlessly with this radio. This receiver also comes in a version where the pins stick out the rear instead of up which can open up some different mounting possibilities and makes for tidy wiring.

The only problem though is if you get too many helis - it only has a 10 model memory. Now that I have added another sim and soon to be multirotor, I've used up all my slots.

In my 250, I use FrSky TFR4SB; a tiny SBus receiver with pins towards to rear not up. Along with the T7C, excellent match
