Logo XXtreme 480 - What Setup?
Quote:
I ask, because I'm planning on running the same motor, but I was just planning on tapering one side of the shaft down to the required 5mm to avoid playing musical gears. Lol Any and all insight and direction you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again bud. -Shane |

I already have the .7 main gear from my L500. I put mod 1 gears in that from day 1 so my mod 7 main gear was never used.

+100, love your idea, this way we can use the pyro 600 and you don't have to taper the shaft as you can swab the 5 mm bearing from the CB to one that adaptes 6 mm shaft

Does it definitely run a counterbearing?

The 480 does not use a CB.

I get these two items: • MIK4318 Mikado 18 Tooth Herringbone Pinion, M0.7, dia. 6mm • MIK4094 Main Gear 153 Teeth, Modul 0.7 ...and I'll be able to use the Kontronik Pyro 600-12 / Kontronik Jive 100+ LV setup without issue? Plug & Play? -Shane |

oh the only thing lift is the motor plate mounting as pyro 600 uses 25mm bolt spacing, i know Mikado has been moving away to the 30 mm spacing. There could be an issue using the pyro buddy

LOL it seems extremely stupid if they areusing a 30mm motor mount with the 480. Since most motors for that size heli would barely have room for 30mm spacing. But it could be the reason they went with the 4015...
Already a shame that they did that with the 550.

by the way 17 tooth pinion and pyro 600-11 gives better numbers on module 0.7, you can get 2600 rpm at 70% throttle using the Jive.

Mikado published the custom scorpion motor, it looks like the designed plate is M3, 25 mm bolt

Is this directed at me? Are you saying the 600-11 would be a better choice over the 600-12 for the XXtreme 480?
Let me know, I'm definitely not committed to the 600-12...Thanks! -Shane[/QUOTE] Yes, i think 17T and pyro 600-11 is better fit for module 0.7 and logo 480. the numbers are not bad, 16T will be even better but it is not available, 18T is over gearing in my opinion.
