OK, guys, need a little help here.

Salamandras has a P50 for sale. It's discounted and includes shipping from Costa Rica. Seems like a good guy, has been active in the Audacity forum for a while.

Is there enough improvement in the P6 that I should go that way instead of the P50?
Thanks.
Tom

Can't speak in reguards to the P6 but I love my Pantera 50. I think I can speak for JB in that he would love to sell you a new P6. I have been thinking about getting one myself down the road. What I will say is that I have bought a NIB Pantera 50 from someone on the auction site or Helifreak for $150 that I have used for parts. I bought a NIB Pantera from JB 2 years ago for $200.00. So it looks like he is selling it for about the price he paid for it plus the shipping cost back to the USA. If it was me making the purchase, I would go with one from JB. Todd

I fly the P50 and picked up a few kits for parts. If I were starting over from scratch I'd probably still go P50 if I found a deal on it vs a new model. You can always update it as you need repair parts (IF you need). I say this if you're a newish pilot and aren't needing the best technology..etc.. If you can push the model to it's limits then consider the P6. Just my 2c..

i think the P6 has cosmetic updates/minor tweaks, Im not sure if the P6 will to outshine the pantera in performance. Can one pantera fly circles around another pantera all things equal?

Well you'd better believe my fat ass has a selfish interest in selling a P6 instead of seeing a fellow buy a 2nd hand P50, so let's get that out of the way. However, with that said, no way a P6 flies circles around a P50. Anyway, seems to me Salmandras is offering a fair deal so it's macht nichts vice performance and the difference is appearance for most folks. Though to be frank, of course there were enough improvements for me to have come out with a new model, otherwise why would I bother?

However, will it matter to the average fellow contemplating purchase of a plastic heli to have something fun to fly that's tough and economical, e.g. what the non-sheep in the room would do? No, not really.

Anyway, I guess from this response you'll understand why I don't ever expect to get rich because I'd rather see Salamandras get out from under his unneeded model than for me merely sell another P6 . . . heavy sigh. Regardless, Sala, we'll miss you and you'll be welcomed back into the fold with open arms if you ever change your mind.

Well folks, first of all, thanks for the impartial words. I'm selling my P50 because I just purchase recently and of course via a Bank loan a car, and I believe that I need a more little machine. If no one want to buy well, me too, with my arms wide open would stay with my lovely PANTERA 50 and in some time I'll build it in his electric presentation. Its just that the price of the components needed to have a decent 10S (at least) is too expensive at this moment. Specially for the import tax rate we have here in my country.

Saludos a todos. Ah! and sorry for the delay in my answer.

Hmmm, if it comes to it I may have partial solutions for the expense. For example, we are soon to introduce a line of ESC, which can help with that aspect of the expense of 100A controller. Anyway, send me an email and we can discuss other possibilities to help you.

If not sold, so take that as a medium term project.

Thank you John!
