Default HSG-5084MG setting on gyro?

I have an HSG-5084MG with a Turnigy 302 gyro. With the std/dig servo setting on digital, the servo seems to glitch and chatter. When I throttle up the heli goes into a violent spin at about half throttle. If I move the setting to standard then the glitch goes away. The servo seems to respond ok when I wag the tail. I am about to take it out and see how it spins up in the standard setting. I know that if you set it on digital with a standard servo it will burn up the std servo. What about a digital set to std? It seems that the digital should be able to handle that with no problem. Any sugestions with my problem or my question? BTW, all equipment is brand new.

Well, the spin is still there. I tried adding a little opposite rudder to keep it from spinning, but it just started spinning the other direction. I checked the linkage and the slide, but it all seems to move freely. What am I missing here?

OK... I am going to take it by the LHS and see if they can help me. I hate admitting defeat, but I have to.

O.K... Seems that I am the only one posting in my own thread so I will tell myself what went wrong. The gyro has a reverse switch on it and it was reversed. I thought that if the tail moved the way that I wanted it to when I moved the stick, then it must be right. I was wrong and with the switch moved, all the spinning stopped.
