Without 3gx it's $297 I read, that would be a $500 heli with an AR7200BX. It's a nice looking heli though.

Well, if you add the same bling to the 300X, you'll end up paying more than $500. I got my 250 DFC + BX unit for less than $470. Yes, it's more expensive, but it's already in my hands. That's why I said good bye to the 300X.

Best wishes to 300X owners

I went ahead and put some numbers together:

Blade 300X: $313 (cheapest price online so far )

Add the aluminum bling:

Here's the link: http://www.horizonhobby.com/products...-x-bnf-BLH4580 go to parts and accs, then hop ups:

CF Blades: $30
Main Rotor Grips: $30
Headblock: $28
Follower arms: $19
Swashplate: $30
Antirotation Guide: $10
Tail boom support: 10.50
CF fin set: $15
Stab fin mount: $9
Tail case: $26
Rotor pitch: $12
Tail rotor blade grips: $19
Tail rotor sliders: $11.39

Total bling: $250 + heli price $313 = $563 and still you don't get a CF main frame as the T-250 DFC Pro does. Of course, you may get better prices than HH's, but it will still put you beyond the $500 mark to bling up your 300X.

Regardless, the B300X is going to be a great seller and a lot of fun to fly. It's a shame it didn't come out soon enough for me.

I'm waiting on the review for both the 300x and t250 fbl now because for not much more with a ar7200bx you can get a gaui x2 which is supposedly the best out of the 3 so that might be worth it even though the 300x wont need any bling so its price is still nice if it can even come close to either one of those helis.

I know that the 250 has these parts as stock, but it doesn't mean that the 300 needs them to fly well, time will tell

A bit like the mcpx, the only complusory upgrade in my book is the swash and a few £1 o-rings, beyond that, it comes down to chiose

That said, I've cancelled my 300 order as I've added a DFC head on my 250, I've swapped my pre-order to a 130X

I totally agree. The B300X should fly great out of the box. It's evident it'll become more expensive in the long run if one starts adding some bling to it. My original plan was to upgrade the 300X servos as soon as they needed replacement. The T250 come with metal servos, so in theory, they should perform better and last longer ( my T500 servos have been solid so far) Overall, the 300X is the best value, in addition to adding instant gratification. I also agree it doesn't need the bling to fly well, but Align came up with the new 250 and I could not resist getting one. I also considered the Gaui X2, but my experience with Align has been great and my LHS carries lots of Align parts. So for now, I'll entertain myself building the 250 and wait for the 130x to become available.

I forgot about the servos. I believe the 300Xuses the same ones as the 450x and the gears on those stripped pretty easily in my experience. There's an instant $90 I'd have to spend on a 300X.

I use the same DS410M metal geared servos in my 250 and 450FBL. I have not had a single case of stripping with the 250, whereas I have had servos stripped or burnt a few times with my 450. That is despite having far fewer crashes on my 450.

I had a Blade 400 that used the previous version of the servos, the DS75. I stripped several of those before getting fed up & putting HS65MG's on it. For those that are comparing kit prices so much, you really should remember the difference in the kits. It's much more than just the 3GX vs the BeastX.

For me it's not about price differences, it's about availability. Align has announced AND released several upgrades and new helis in the time that HH has just announced their heli.

Yep. I remember I was on the fence thinking 250se or Blade 300x. My girl made the decision for me by picking up a Align 250se super combo for me one day on a grocery run. So glad she did. One month later out came the 250 pro. Then there was talk of a TT and DFC head coming out. Now they are here. Everyone was saying Align missed the boat when Blade announced the RTF Blade FBL 300x. But now it seems Blades delay's have cost them dearly. I bet someones head is rolling out the HH door as we speak! Too bad really....... especially for those few that sold off their 250's cheep to make room for this heli in their fleet. HH

If i owned a ar7200bx i would already have a 250dfc in my hands, but the fact that i would have to spend the extra $250 making the 250dfc a over $640 heli i will wait for the 300x to arrive at my LHS and then gut it for its receiver if i dont like it!
