Okay, bad news. I put the electronics tray on and the ICE 50 (not ice lite) won't fit. I tried everything, too. So, as ITSMILLERTIME said, maybe an ICE Lite 50. However, I just broke down and ordered a Kontronik Koby 40A.

No Ice lite. It's bec isn't enough for MKS servos. I'm still trying to decide on a replacement.

I've read that, too. Seems like the ICE 50 Lite works for some folks, but MKS says the DS95i/95/92+ servos draw too much current.

I am running the Ice Lite 50 ... I logged current spikes up to 8-10A ... since then, I've added a Western Robotics Super Mini BEC G2. I am no longer concerned.

I am however, trying to find the best spot for the BEC ... it's been a battle to find a spot so that I can fit the canopy and hide the BEC. I'll let you know where I finalize the position to be.

Thomas from MKS warned that the DS92A+ and DS95i are hungry servos, he wasn't kidding|!

Wow, I still have a hard time believing 4 micro servos can draw ~10 amps! Any chance you can post a graph of your logs, Jeff.

I think I cleared them ... I don't see it any more on my computer.

I've had several flights since then with the WR installed.

That said, yeah, I was very surprised to see the amount of current being drawn. My first clue was that my SK-720 was coming down with a low voltage warning on the LED.

Since switching to the WR, I haven't had the error light come on .... the challenge now is to find a home for this BEC on this heli and still be able to get my canopy on.

I fit mine in easily, you need to have it spaced down from the tray with thick tape and the sides of the heat sink hanging out the holes. I have mine face up with motor wires to the back.

That's what I thought, too. But in fact, that is not true. It's really about which side of the mount to bolt the motor on. It is not symmetrical, and that's why the manual states

To avoid any interferance with the bolt of the belt tensioner; make sure to mount the
motor to the motor mount exactly as shown in the pictures.
I did not fully understand that sentence until fully assembled.
Using the inner screws did help a little, but only flipping the mount will completely solve the clearance issue with belt tensioner bolt.
If all motors are wired the same, everyone who ends up with the wires leaving "front left side" probably did it wrong.
I think this is very important, and maybe the manual should show a "crossed out" wrong assembly as comparision so that everyone can get it right the first time.
Best regards, Daniel

I think that is a great idea.

Hey Steemo,

Great that you can get your ICE 50 in there.

Wow, those were sent Expedited! ... everyone else has received their kits. Are maritime postal workers only working 3 days a week?

I question our postal service at the best of times, never mind in a particular area... LOL!

Man oh man.

In transit from Dieppe since 7:15 AM on the 4th.
The postal system here is WHACK lately. I don't mind though as it gives me
time to sift through details from the pros.

Let me know when you've got it and you're ready to build ... flip me an email and I'll call you to discuss a few details that will help your build move along a little smoother.

I'd like to see pictures, too. I tried and the only way I could get it in and have the wires clear everything would have been to remove the plastic case--there was no way I could see to close up the frames without stressing any component.
