I wouldn't recommend the CNC idler pulleys.
I've heard at least two reports of the belt coming off of the motor idler pulley and causing a crash, because the CNC idler pulleys have smaller edges than the plastic ones.

+1 on those, they are the ony upgrades I have on mine (apart from the pinion). The lever really helps the tail, and the lynx speed canopies are awesome for visibility, makes the heli look much bigger in the air.

I forgot to say that I also have a set of 68 mm tail blades on the way to try out.

Which brand 68mm blades ?
Care as well, I don't think you can run 360mm blades with 68mm tail blades. (kit blades are 350mm so its fine with them, but alot of nice choices are 360mm)
I can make my 360's touch the (60mm) tail blades if I flex them enough (though it doesn't happen in flight).

I love the feel of the carbon edge 60's, but I've never tried 68mm, because I've always run 360 mains.

I ordered the Lynx 68 mm to use with 350mm mains.

Bag D is finished. Other than some slight fitaments, this portion of the build went smoothly. Had to ream out the jesus bolt hole in the hub with a drill bit to get the m2x10 screw ito go through. Also was tricky getting the inside thrust bearing race to seat in the grips. I ended up using an old spindle to hold it straight while I pressed on it with a larger motor connector I had laying around.

Thanks Bill. Can't wait for my package of "color" to get here.

Didn't get much done yesterday as it was my wife's birthday as well as the due date for our baby girl which didn't show up yet.

Notice that there is no belt installed on it yet. I am saving it for the very end of the build to see if it makes any difference on fitament and locating any binding issues.

Congrats on the new one on its way! And glad to see Mini almost finished. The Lynx tail blades are great, been running on my stretch and no problems, Rock solid tail.

Looks great William! Mine has similar colors, except for a white landing gear from a Forza 450 (slightly taller to help the thing out of the grass). I may paint it orange now after seeing yours.

...and best luck to you and your wife with the baby girl.

Do those speed canopies rub on the DS95i servos like the stock one does?

It's a pretty big canopy especially up front for lipos. I'm using the DS92a+ which have almost the same exact dimension and I have 3.75mm of clearance.

Canopy has plenty of room in it. I also run an 1800, 6s pack and fits fine as well as no rubbing on servos.

@ Will, BTW, Love the canopy, same scheme as mine

Haha same here I love that canopy, it's so visible in the air.

Just for fun I tried fitting 2x 3S 2200 under that canopy and it fit fine
Of course the CG was way off though.

Does you guy's speed canopy overlap in the back where it wraps around? Mine does by a few millimeters. I'm thinking about shaving it down with my dremel.

Yep mine overlaps a bit, but naturally the left side is over the right side and they don't touch (so no ugly noise in flight), so I didn't change anything.

Mine touches and will probably create some vibes. I even gently clamped it so that it doesn't touch and let it sit in the warm sun for a couple of hours. It is much better, but still overlapping and touching. I guess I'll get the dremel out and and take a bit off each side of the wrap around.
