Thanks a lot for the videos Bob! They were a great help when I was building my flybarless version last night! I have a lot of 3S 2200mah lipos and I was wondering if there is any reason that I shouldn't use the BEC pro for my power? Thanks

Yeah, I have a CC BEC Pro and I was just wondering if there was any reason I shouldn't use it since I don't have any 2S batteries? Or would it be best to just buy some 2S batteries? Thanks.

Wait are you talking the 700E or nitro? The nitro you have to have a pack of some kind and most run a 2S lipo with BEC or 8V setup.

The Nitro. I have the 2S pack that came with the kit, and the Align regulator. I was just thinking that instead of buying more 2S packs that I would just use the BEC Pro with the 3S packs that I already have unless for some reason this will not work. I'm using the Align 610, and 650 servos.

Yes that 3S pack will work fine with the BEC Pro. Word of caution on the unit. The wires coming out of it are prone to break loose with vibrations. Take it apart and shoe glue (silicon, whatever) the wires to the board and out the exit of the case. Trust me on this as a nitro eats the wires on that thing as they are no secure inside.

In fact pretty sure CC has a bulletin about this on their web site.

Bob or anyone that know this,
i recently bought a 700e V1 and I've been reading the trex700 forum since then, one of the major issues I see is that I might want to upgrade the tail rotor spindle bolts because they seem to break easy and maybe just upgrade the hole tail rotor assembly to the V2.
Did you have had any issues with the tail what so ever?
Thanks in advance

I don't have an E version but there was no issue on the nitro. Someone else will have to comment on the V2 tail but I heard there were some issues at one time.

I had read about issues with the stock tail blade grip bolts and the metal tail blade grips.

Mine had the plastic grips, but I upgraded the tail grip bolts anyway.

It has many flights on it with no problems.

sjaaktrekhaak:

Keep us informed of your search for the bolts. I had to buy a whole box of them to get two. If you need a pair, let me know and I'll mail them to you for the cost of postage only. (paypal)

The only time I ever had problems was when I wasn't signed in.
