Default Aileron swash mixing setup

Hi guys, in the past I was told that its not good to go above the value "60" for aileron swash mixing - the setup wizard tells you 10 degrees is "a good starting point" and to try and keep the swash mixing below 60.

So can I get some more info, like other systems give you a graduated scale of some sort telling you bad, better, good, ideal sort of thing to optimize your resolution. I currently have achieved 12 degrees of aileron cyclic in the setup wizard at a mixing value of 55.

I would like to know is 60 absolutely ideal and as you go above and below it you're less than ideal ? or is 60 already too much one way and you're better off below 60, or it just doesn't work like that on the skookum ?

Its a 570 goblin 12s power system.

You are perfect with 12* and 55. The 60% guideline gives us a good idea regarding the balance of servo resolution and total swash travels.

Too low values there indicate the balls are too far in on the servo horn, and you will likely not achieve the cyclic pitch values you need. Too high means you are too far out and may have too much mechanical gain/poor servo resolution and possibly poor flight characteristics because of it, forcing you to lower the FBL gain too low. Too high also means that you have a higher likelihood of swash binding when at full collective/cyclic at the same time.

The software will turn yellow if you go above 64, so this is your upper limit. You dont have to get exactly at 60, as there isn't anything magic about that particular number. Its just a good target zone where we know the heli should perform well and give you adequate cyclic pitch without binding. Some helis geometry require the values to be slightly different. My Goblin requires me to go to 64 just to get 10* cyclic, and she flies great. In theory you could come in on the servo horns to get your values higher, but my guess is you would go above 60 if you did and loose a little of the cyclic pitch travel, but as stated 64 is the limit before the warnings.

If it flies well, I would leave well enough alone personally.

oops oops sorry I meant to say I have 10 degrees with 55 mixing value. Sorry. Sounds good I will try it like this.
