Xtreme Canopy (Plastic)
Just wanted to say that my Lynx stretched Nano's got some new helmets that were put through the paces at the indoor funfly tonight. I have to say I'm very impressed. Trying to fly inverted backwards in these little horrors yielded many a crash into the bleachers and hardwood floor. The stock canopy would not have survived. The XTreme canopies on the other hand are a flexible, slightly thicker plastic which makes a world of difference. I haven't weight them but they can't be much more than a gram heavier.
In addition, they make a huge difference in visibility because they are wider and do not press on the wiring the way the stock canopy does. With the factory BL installed and the solid Lynx boom I have perfect CG. These are now very balanced helis. I was showing a friend of mine how I could do inverted hands off they are so stable now. That's it for my rave. Just wanted to point out that these really are little gems. Now if they could just make the tail work better flying backwards while inverted.... I just ordered a bunch more |

Figured I'd post some glamour shots. You can clearly see the "larger" presence these canopies bring to the table. Much easier orientation in the gym tonight. Flying a stock one right before one of these was night and day difference.

I bought them as well and really like them. I must say though that cutting out the decals with precision and placing them on the canopy is patience level EXPERT!!!

I see you are using the LYNX Main Blades. How are they? I just bought a set of Micro Heli MB and they are super fast. Noticeable higher head speeds. The only draw back is that the shater. One hard crash and they were toast.

They are Lynx Stretch blades and the are all I will use on the Nano. Ultra stable and still agile combined with the stretch solid tail and Blade BL kit.

I've concluded that these canopies are indestructible. Two fun flys, 6 total hours and countless incidents of bleachers, backboards, rafters and even the hardwood floor inexplicably leaping in front of my poor Nanos. Not a scratch. The only thing I've had to do is put small pieces of tape over the grommets (inside and out) to keep them from popping out.
Very impressed. Also my rate of board failure has seemed to drop as well. I credit the canopies! |

My package from Xtreme arrived today! These things are AWESOME! I got a yellow one too, but haven't taken it out. Also got the CF tail fin... love it!!!
The red is pretty sweet... and I like how it turns purple when the blue light is on under it. Very cool!

I like the decals for the canopies... I just suck at putting them on the curved surfaces without wrinkles! There's probably a trick to doing it I'm not aware of... but yeah, it also seems like the little bit of added weight has really helped stabilize the heli too! It doesn't seem anywhere near as squirelly as it was with the original canopy on it... seems to fly much smoother, although, it gets hotter during flying now... I have to let it cool a little between flights or the motor just has no power at all. (My guess is I'll be replacing it soon... )

Judt changed out my motor for the first time. It kind of died slowly leaving no power for pitch pumps. Didnt realise they went slowly like this but changing the motor gave amazing results.

How difficult was it to do? I have a feeling I'm going to have to replace mine here soon also.

Literally 2 minutes to swap out.
Jjst push the old motor out from ghe bottom , minding not to snag any wires. Then push the new one in making sure the gear mesh is lined up.
