600 3D on 6S
I'm just in the final stages of building a 600 3D (kit with a Jive 80HV and 4035-500).
I just need to buy some 10S lipo's. I've stumbled upon a 4025-1100 at a very reasonable price so i'm tempted to run on 6S for a while as i already have quite a few those for my Trex 550. I'm just starting to get comfortable with circuits so it should be enough power for me in the short term? If i were to go with the 4025-1100 do i need to: a. Change to 153 tooth (M0.7) gear and 14 tooth pinion as per the 500 kit. or b. Could i keep the existing 106 (M1.0) tooth gear and just get a 10 tooth pinion. |

Gearing wise, with an 1100kv motor and 6S, you're better off using the Mod .7 500 gears, especially when running at lower head speeds the 6S system pushing a 600mm disc will demand. The Mod 1.0 gears are set-up essentially for 10-12S set-ups.
As long as you keep the head speeds reasonable (sub-2000, and 1700 as an example would be great for your "...comfortable with circuits..." type flying), then running a 600mm disc on 6S works fine. (-: Dave |

+1. I ran 623s on my 6s 600 3d. Worked perfectly fine. Only thing is that its rather hard on packs. I ran a 910kv scorpion for mine so was geared a bit differently.
Oh its also very very light. So kinda fun GL!

Sorry hijack your thread but I have a logo 600 with a 6cell set up and want to run 600 mm blades if I get the mod 7 mean gear with a 4020 1100 sc motor with what ever pinion that will give me a 2000 head speed it should work ? Right now I have 553 with a 4025 1100 with a 6 mm shaft but don't want to change it out

I don't think a 4020 is gonna be to happy pushing 600's Use the 4025 with Mod1 11t to get 2200ish Gov'd or keep same motor but go M7 gears and get a 5mm shaft kit it($9)

Does your 600 not already have M1?
M.7 would be better suited since it will allow head speeds lower than 2200 which will be hard on your 6S packs. I would shoot for 18-2000 head speed since it will be super light Disk loading w/6S 600's. Go play with setup here http://heli.dacsa.net/calculatorv2/Default.aspx

11t will give you 1700ish, less if you are running Gov.
If you are running just T-curve 13t. 14/15t if running gov depending on ESC. What ESC are you using. Where did you calc disk loading, based on what weight?

No Prob
Here's your Pinion in a 5mm http://rcflightstore.com/product_inf...oducts_id=1068 and the 5mm shaft http://rcflightstore.com/product_inf...oducts_id=3441 Or cheat a little and run 6mm 16t(what I'd do) http://rcflightstore.com/product_inf...oducts_id=2953 It will still get you down to 1610 and as high as 2200 RCF is in Vancouver, Canada BTW
