I will be using a 4525-520kv. Mine will not have come from the combo, so I have no "stock" pinion.

17th is what comes with the 4525-520 combo. It will get you in the 2000 rpm range.

Handy head speed tool.

If you going to smack it , might consider going to 14s.

Much stronger power system overall. Will cover a lot of collective management sins

I have the scorpion 4530-450 le, stock pinion (17 I recall) on 14s 4400 65c thor (ga) packs and it's a huge improvement over the 12s setup with stock scorpion.

At the build stage it's not a lot of extra cash to lay out for the jumps to 14s.

I run 14 degrees pitch ( very seldom use the 14 in flight but i do give a big poke just before touchdown on an auto ) at 2100 ( i recall )

The stock setup, the 17t pinion, runs perfect even on the 12s. I run the 2050, I even run 2100 jus to see, but the 2050 is ideal for anything you throw at it

I already own 10 6s packs and a 4525, so, as cool as it may be, I don't think I'll be using 14s.
