Default Esc initial programming ?

I may have messed up the initial programming of my esc. I read the directions a hundred times so I thought I was ready. I plugged in the battery with the tx at full throttle and heard the beeping so I pulled the throttle all the way back and waited for a response, nothing. So me being an idiot I said let me try it again so I moved the throttle back to full throttle and while I was doing that the esc gave a few beeps on my way back to full throttle. So I tried to start from scratch all over again but every time I plug the battery in with the tx at full throttle to set hi / low throttle it goes into advance programming with 1 beep then 2 beeps then 3 beeps etc etc.

Is there a way I can undo what I did and start from scratch?

I haven't seen any documentation on how you can reset the ESC parameters. But it might be money well spent to buy the programming card from readyheli. You can change all the settings with one card.

I thought about that but in the instructions it looks I can only change the advance settings and not the basic travel endpoints etc with the card. I will read more.

With the card, you can change the full throttle settings.

I think one can always do the initial configuration at any time.
Be sure you have the TH endpoints at 100% and you aren't with TH hold on. Moving the TH stick to 100% and connecting the ESC should lead you to the initial programming mode of the ESC (per instructions).
Are you sure you have full range TH on the transmitter?

Both the Basic and the Advanced mode are entered in the same way... with throttle at full and plugging in the ESC to the lipo. But the advanced mode will only be triggered if the Basic setup has already been done. The instructions are not clear on this. And there is nothing specifically stating how to get back into Basic mode.

2 suggestions... send Pete an email at elektrorc and ask him this question. Or send the same email to YGE. They do answer emails.

Yes, I agree, with a difference:
You activate the setup with throttle up and:

- If you move the stick down within 20 seconds (while it's beeping continuously): you are in the basic setup;
- If you wait 20 seconds without touching the TH stick, the ESC will stop beeping continuously and will start the advanced configuration beep sequence: you are in the advanced setup.

I'vre redone several times the basic setup on mine while I was testing the TH range and brake option.

Good info. Now we know all the programming details of the YGE.
